Head to Low Newton Beach and beachside pub (5.5 miles), and Craster’s harbour village (8.5 miles) for great seafood and a coastal path stroll to Dunstanburgh Castle. Discover Alnwick Castle and Gardens (12 miles) and cross the causeway to historic Holy Island (21 miles).

Enter through the front door into the contemporary, open-plan living space where you will find plenty of comfortable seating, including a large chaise sofa to relax on after your day’s activities. This charming property is decorated with local artwork and individual puffin ‘touches’, and offers a choice of books, maps and local guides, as well as games, a DVD player and a Smart TV for your entertainment. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need, including marble worktops, to prepare tasty food and drinks if you prefer to eat in. Coffee enthusiasts will also enjoy using the Nespresso coffee machine or the cafétiere. There is a large dining table where you can enjoy mealtimes and sit with a map to plan your walking routes. At bedtime, the spacious bedroom is off the main living area with a king-size bed and plenty of storage for your things. Enjoy relaxing in bed watching Freeview TV or listening to your favourite music or podcasts on the digital radio/Bluetooth speaker. A glazed door in the bedroom leads out to the communal patio. The en-suite completes the accommodation and comprises a walk-in shower, a bidet and WC.

Excellent cottage. It had all the facilities and more. The cottage was immaculate. It was a very comfy base for our exploration of Northumberland. Everything was perfect. Especially Loved the shower so much easier than stepping over a bath sside.this cottage will not disappoint
