Lovely appartment located in the centre of Bamburgh.Cosy and clean with lovely views. Right opposite the Bamburgh walled garden, which is so beautifull and great for breakfast! Very peacefull, and nice to just hear the birds singinging. Beds and bed linen could perhaps do with a small upgrade.

A lovely, warm and welcoming apartment in a great location right in the centre of Bamburgh. The comfortable, squishy sofa was certainly a welcome sight after miles of walking. Having the dedicated parking spot was a bonus. The apartment was v well equipped and v clean. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend it or revisit.

Lovely spot, lovely location and great to have your own parking spot in central Bamburgh. Lovely sitting room and kitchen facilities. If the shower and beds were upgraded this would be a perfect place to stay.

The flat provided a good base for a personal retreat and was private, comfortable and quiet, except in the evenings when the restaurant was busy, but even then it wasnt intrusive noise. The window seat in the sitting room was a fab spot to sit with a cuppa or a glass of wine and read, while also people watching. No-one spots you up there! Being rigRead moreht in the middle of Bamburgh with your own parking spot is such a luxury, especially in August, and it was great to be able to go down to the beach before and after the hordes arrived. The wifi is decent, good enough for streaming and making video calls, and a reasonable speed for uploading photos etc, though not the fastest. The bed was comfortable, there was plenty of very hot water and overall, I enjoyed my stay. However, it is worth noting that the decor is tired and old fashioned, and the flat could do with being refreshed with a lick of paint at the very least. It was also not spotlessly clean - I've passed on details to the owner, so hopefully that will improve. Also, make sure you note that there is no dishwasher, and be prepared to wash everything by hand. As mentioned above, there is noise from the restaurant in the evenings, but that's only to be expected and the noise stopped by about 10:30/11 pm when the last guests left. As a previous reviewer has commented, I was woken by deliveries early in the morning, but was able to go back to sleep. If you don't like the idea of restaurant noise coming through the floor or other restaurant-associated noise, don't book a flat above a restaurant! Hide

Excellent location, views to sea, 10 min walk up to Bamburgh Castle. Cosy apartment, good quality & plenty of crockery etc., quiet. Helpful info prior to holiday about how to access apartment & useful folder in apartment with restaurants, places of interest etc.

We had a lovely stay at Blackett apartment. It was an excellent location with lovely views of Holy island with bamaburgh village on the doorstep. The flat had everything we needed. Our only issue was the 9am checkout was quite a rush.

The cottage is on the one hand well located as it is right in the centre of Bamburgh and literally a stone's throw from pubs and restaurants. One issue some guests might have is that both bedrooms overlook the car park for the building. This is not an issue visually, however, the restaurant below has food deliveries every morning at 6am and the delRead moreivery drivers are not quiet and talk loudly whilst delivering. This was not an issue for us, as we are early risers, even on holiday and like to get up and enjoy an early morning walk on the beach, but I know some people who would get rather irritated by the disturbance. Ideal location in village - amazingly close to restaurants and pubs. Convenient for beach and castle. If planning on self catering visitors should be careful about access to shops. There is a very good butcher nearby but otherwise nearest main shop seems to be Coop in Seahouses (a 10 minute drive).

Excellent location on Main Street . Property was comfortable and well equipped having Alexa for music was a nice surprise too and kitchen also very well equipped . Nice smart TV with lots of useful apps catch up Tv etc . Although the apartment was above a very busy bistro did not get disturbed by noise other than the one evening where a noise groRead moreup of male customers were louder than they should of been . Loved staying in Banburgh had visited the village and castle before but was really nice to stay in the village for the week . Loved walking on the beach and into Seahouses in the mornings . Would definitely be coming back to Northumberland in the near future and would definitely consider staying in this accommodation again very reasonable price in high season . Hide
