Reviews

Beautiful cottage with stunning view of the castle. Really well equipped and immaculate throughout. Excellent central location but still very private and the pet free status is perfect for us as my husband has a dog allergy. Third time for us and won’t be the last!

Mrs S,

The location is great, pubs and resturants all within easy walking distance and an easy drive to the local sites in the surrounding area. The beach is amazing and the view from the cottage overlooking the castle is lovely.

Mrs S,

Edynwell is the perfect property to stay in, in the wonderful village of Bamburgh. It’s spacious, well equipped, clean and extremely comfortable. I have stayed here 12 times now which is a sure indication of how much I rate this holiday destination.

Mrs D,

The cottage is very well equipped and exceptionally clean. It is ideally placed to explore Bamburgh and that part of Northumberland. It is very quiet where it is located. The gated parking area and excess to the cottage makes it feel very safe, not that we thought it needed it, but it’s a nice feature. The first floor lounge is large and very comfortable with a lovely view of the castle (apart from two evenings when it was shrouded in mist). I will not hesitate in recommending Edynwell to anyone.

Mr L,

We spent a fantastic week at this lovely property. The location is perfect, we visited Castles, beaches, pretty villages, took boat trips & steam train rides all without having to travel too far. Being able to walk to restaurants & pubs so that no-one had to drive was a real bonus too. The house was spotlessly clean with great showers and comfortable beds & so peaceful for a wonderful night's sleep. Would happily return.

Mrs K,

We have stayed at Edynwell several times and just love everything about it. It is so well located, very comfortable, clean and well equipped too. The parking is spacious and secure.

Mrs D,

Edynwell is a spacious, well-equipped property. The view of the castle from the lounge window is wonderful. It is in an excellent location for exploring the area. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to others. Thank you for an enjoyable stay at Edynwell.

Mrs W,

This was our 10th time staying at Edynwell so I think that says it all. A wonderful place to stay in a wonderful area.

Mrs D,

Excellent property and location- could not have found a better place

Dr K,

We feel so lucky for this place to have found us! We've had a wonderful week, enjoying the beaches, restaurants and castle views. The house is very comfortable with everything we needed. Would love to come back in the future. Thank you Edynwell!

Previous Customer,

Accomodation beautiful, clean and comfortable. Very lucky to have glorious weather which helped us enjoy the area - fantastic!

Previous Customer,

A perfect cottage with everything we needed for our family get together holiday. We enjoyed days out and lots of restaurants. This cottage exceeded expectations and we are so lucky for it to have "found us". We will definitely return.

Previous Customer,

We had a most enjoyable stay! The cottage was really clean and had everything we needed. The courtyard garden was well used.

Previous Customer,

Wow - comfortable and with a view over Bamburgh Castle. This was an opportunity for the whole family to get together. Overall - brilliant!

Previous g,

Excellent property in a great location very accessible to all the amenities in the surrounding area.

Mr John P,

Location- Excellent Cleanliness- Very Good Nice touches- The owners left a vase of daffodils and a bottle of fizz which were very welcome. Young Children- There were no child friendly tumblers/bowls/plates etc. which made mealtimes rather hazardous. Also the kitchen is on the ground floor with the lounge and 2 bedrooms upstairs. This also poses a problem if young children are constantly going up and down the stairs (toddlers). The house and bedrooms are pleasantly decorated but the beds and pillows are firm. Only 1 TV in the lounge although wall plugs fitted in bedrooms to presumably, accommodate TV’s. Overall a lovely stay with family and grandchildren!
