Blue Poppy House, is ideal for groups of people, particularly families looking to holiday together. Situated in the hamlet of Waren Mill on the northern edge of Bamburgh village, the house is only a few hundred yards from the sea at Budle Bay, an easy walk to beautiful stretches of sand, and the mudflats ideal for birdwatching, and of course less than a 5 minute drive into the village of Bamburgh dominated by its Castle.

A fantastic holiday cottage that has been tastefully furnished throughout and painted in subtle nautical shades of blue. Painted wooden beams, drift-wood Karndean and sumptuous light grey carpets along with accents of colour, bring a light and modern feel to this prime holiday property. Crisp white bed linen and luxurious fluffy towels in all the bedrooms.

This is a great family and friends property for get togethers, dogs and children are also very welcome with plenty of space for all to enjoy.

Large log burner in the lounge, wi-fi throughout the property & separate room with pool table. Fantastic BBQ hut, paved patio area for super alfresco dining with table and chairs. Large garden (not fully enclosed) and plenty of parking on the driveway.

Utility room, ideal space to kick off your shoes, dry the dog and get sand out of your hair. 2 well behaved dogs are very welcome.

We loved this cottage. It was warm, welcoming, well equipped, spacious, clean and convenient for Bamburgh and the surrounding area. We were a group of 6 adults and a baby and the house was perfect for us. I would not hesitate to recommend this excellent house if you are coming to Northumberland.

This was a very nice cottage but not exceptional. I booked it for my wife's 60th birthday and if it was not for the excellent company we had it would have been rather disappointing. Not enough attention is paid to the small things that really matter.

Absolute amazing place! 8 of us came for a diving trip, unfortunately due to bad seas the diving was cancelled. We were so fortunate to have such a huge place to spend time in. A nice size house in a small hamlet, directly off a main road but not too noisy. Exiting the property can be tricky as you can only see the road when most of the car bonet is into the road. Property itself is a nice size with plenty of space to spread out. Furniture was OK for the time we spent in the house. Kitchen needed a deep clean and like mosRead moret rentals the small appliances and utensils are way past thier prime, plenty of good quality crockery but pans and trays were worn. Oven makes a continuous ring sound, broken timer, had to turn off at isolator. The garden was good to exercise the dogs as there isn't much around the property to explore with everything on main roads. Short drive to shops but the co-op isn't the best. Surprised to see no handbook but most things are self explanatory. The smart tv and Internet were great to use and a must for the location. We had no signal on EE so internet was a must. Nice week in a good house, only slightly let down with age related items. Hide

Blue Poppy House in large, comfortable, in a great location and a good price. However, there are issues with a bad smell of drains and excessive noise when the shower pump in the en-suite is running, the garden is not maintained, and some new cooking utensils would be nice. Also, some of the rings on the hob no longer work

We had a really fabulous stay at Blue Poppy House. Wed read a couple of earlier reviews just before we left which were a little worrying, but it looks as though all concerns raised must have been well and truly addressed. The house was beautiful. Its warm, cosy, wonderfully decorated and had every amenity we needed. There was even a pile of board Read moregames in the little study off the lounge, which was a lovely touch. The garden was well maintained and the house was immaculately clean throughout. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bedrooms were so dark and quiet, we had some of the best nights sleep in a long time. There was a good supply of cleaning materials, loo roll and hand soap, good-quality bed linen, and plenty of fluffy white towels. We took our own logs and thoroughly enjoyed the open log fire in the sitting room each evening. Theres also a very good living flame style heater in the dining room, which is very cosy if needed. The location is ideal. Weve already booked our next stay and cant wait to return. Hide
