Description

This stylish character cottage is located in the heart of Weybourne, just a few steps from the pub and charming village store. Weybourne is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, 3 miles west of Sheringham. The coastline in the village offers a shingle beach and fabulous cliff top walks. The village is famous for the Muckleburgh Military Collection and Weybourne Station, where you can hop on the North Norfolk Railway. The Coasthopper bus service runs through the village and will take you through to Cromer travelling east or stop off at the many pretty coastal villages on its way to Wells-next-the-Sea. The elegant Georgian town of Holt is within easy reach (4 miles), with its mix of art galleries, independent shops, antique haunts, cafe culture, pubs and restaurants.

Upon entering this delightful cottage there is a convenient porch area for those sandy items and muddy wellingtons. This leads through into the open-plan living space with comfortable seating and a step up to the dining area. The interior is sophisticated but equally cosy, creating a wonderfully homely and relaxing setting. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to whip up a delicious meal to linger over with your favourite tipple. Beyond the dining area is a handy ground floor shower room. In the cooler months after blustery cliff-top walks, the sink-into sofas are the perfect spot to unwind and warm up in front of the wood burner whilst watching a favourite on the Smart TV. Heading up the traditional, steep Norfolk winder staircase, you’ll find two bedrooms to choose from, a king-size and a king-size zip-and-link that can be made up as twin beds if required. Both are dressed in lovely linens with quality mattresses, so you will undoubtedly enjoy a good night’s sleep and be fresh for the day ahead. The family bathroom completes the first floor.

If you wish to dine alfresco, the garden offers a beautiful, sheltered south facing sun trap with a patio area and lawn. Spend early mornings with a cuppa listening to the bird song or evenings catching the last of the rays with a cool drink in hand. From this garden, a pathway leads you to a further shingled garden area beyond.

Reviews

Enjoyable stay a slight hicup on arrival was quickly rectified and more than adequate recompense.

Mr P,

We found the cottage comfortable and cozy. It was a very nice place to spend a week. It was l very well furnished.

Mrs D,

Lovely cottage in an idyllic village, pub and cafe close with wonderful food and service. Cottage fully equipped with everything and the garden is lovely to sit and relax in.

Mrs B,

Beautiful well laid out cottage smack in the middle of Weybourne. The house layout has ample space ; we were 2 people and stayed for two weeks but it could have easily been longer. The house has ample space for 4 people with an additional bathroom with shower on the ground floor. The inside and outside garden is beautifully fitted out with very high quality fittings, furnishings and an excellently equipped kitchen. Outside, a lovely patio with weatherproof rattan garden furniture sits in a very sunny corner for the morning sun; when weather allowed we enjoyed our breakfast outside. The Pub is basically next door but wasn't loud at all, in fact noise from the main coastale road outside was not audable. The Beach is 5 mins walk as is the coastal path and parking, although on-road, was never a problem; we always managed to get a spot in beach Road about 20 yards away over the road. We had one technical hitch which was immediately attended to by both the owners and Norfolk cottages while we were out for the day. Overall highly recommended. AAAAA +
