Great location - nice and cozy

Nicely modernised, well equipped cottage, overall very comfortable, including beds and in a lovely location.

Well located for seeing the coastal nature reserves and beaches and also inland sights such as Binham Priory and Little Walsingham. Thornham, Hunstanton Cliffs and the Burnhams are also worth visiting. etc. Very well appointed and beautifully renovated; the air-source heat pump works very well (we found it almost too warm at night!).

FANTASTIC.....what a fabulous cottage with everything you might need for a great self catering holiday. The furnishing are nearly new, tastefully chosen and extremely comfortable. You are in the middle of nowhere, with absolutely no neighbours but you are surrounded by fantastic countryside and 5-10 mins in the car and you are in Wells or Holkham. The cottage has absolutely everything you need, the kitchen is very well equipped and its extremely warm and cosy. We couldn't fault this cottage and had a very enjoyable stay.

Lovely property, a little way off the main Holkham site but secluded with a lovely garden front and back of the property. It was clean and warm, we actually had to turn the heating down as too warm for us especially as we do love a log burner (as does the dog). Good walks and cycle routes from the property, easy to get to Wells or Holkham beach for a good walk.

Idyllic setting and cottage. Holkham offers everything. Wells as a town is lovely. The walks and wildlife are amazing. Loved our stay and cannot wait to return. The car parking pass and gift bag is a lovely gesture and secured us staying in Holkham and Wells the whole week.

We loved our trip as a family of four (2 boys under age 9) to Cuckoo Lodge. Location was remote and peaceful but well placed to get around exploring North Norfolk. Thoughtfully equipped with everything you need, the lodge was a cosy home from home. We enjoyed spotting wildlife in the garden and fields around. We didn’t want to leave and would love to come back!!

The cottage was so beautiful. Set in a lovely peaceful location only a short walk into Wells. It was well equipped for our week long stay and was well situated for exploring from. We are already looking forward to planning our next trip.

Brilliant location for days out to highlights across North Norfolk. Lovely cottage and gardens, with location great for walks or to relax. Just a few more glasses for drinks please!

This is a lovely property to stay in, fantastic location very quiet and peaceful, good walks with my dog, great enclosed garden. Will come again. Also very well equipped.

Over all we enjoyed our stay. The cottage is beautiful. The track leading to the cottage did have several deep pot holes in that we had to try and avoid else it would have damaged the cars. The garden was advertised as secure, for larger dogs that may be the case, our Labrador was fine however our chihuahua could get out under the gate and one side of the garden had no fence or wire. This was a bit disappointing as the secure garden was one of the main reasons we booked here. The main bedroom is amazing, the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. A good night sleep was what was needed after a day at wells beach. A shower attachment would be amazing as well as the waterfall shower it was hard to shower without soaking your hair at the same time. Walks down the tracks in the evening was lovely especially when we caught glimpses of the sunset. A lovely stay at the cottage and would definitely return and recommend.

There was no heating instructions. There was also a lot of spiders/dead flies hanging from the ceilings. Behind the main bedroom bed hadn’t been cleaned for months. Also for the rates charged I don’t see why we should have to take the sheets off all before 10am check out. It’s a lots to do before 10am.

The efficiency around the booking was outstanding and the cottage itself was idyllic, we had no complaints at all.

The property was delightful and very cosy as well as clean. A few more glasses, a larger pot and items such as a garlic crusher and a blender will be useful. We like to cook and with children, a well designed kitchen in a self-catering cottage is a must. Other than this, we missed a charging point for toothbrushes and a razor in the bathroom. There was a code for a gate to Holkham Hall, but we never figured out where to use this and the Hall staff couldn't help with this either, so this needs clarification in your booklet. We loved the air sourced heat pump! Overall, the cottage was lovely and a very comfortable stay.

Cuckoo Lodge very well furnished & equipped compared to other cottages we've stayed in in North Norfolk. Everything worked as it should and provision of firewood was generous. Communication & info from Norfolk Cottages was great as was welcome hamper.

The cottage was perfect. Cosy and warm and completely quiet.

We had a lovely family girls weekend in Cuckoo Lodge and loved visiting HGolkham Hall at Christmas. We would love to come back again some time.

Clean, tastefully decorated and welcoming. But probably too Expensive. I felt that a booking fee of £55 was excessive.

Perfect cottage in the most amazing location. Close to Holkham and Brancaster Beaches and lots of wonderful North Norfolk villages. Would not recommend to anybody with inquisitive dogs as the boundary is not secure due to no fences.
