Fairbank Farm House is a former gentleman’s residence set in 350 acres of beautiful working farmland. Fairbank Farmhouse is a semi-detached property and part of a private and secluded Lake District estate, which is situated close to the village of Staveley and only 10 minutes from Windermere.

Recently refurbished throughout in a contemporary style, it is the perfect base for friends and families to enjoy. Every room in the house has magnificent vistas from the windows and you will be forgiven if you find yourself daydreaming, looking out at the impressive views.  There are two large lounges, each with comfortable seating and with a warming and inviting wood burner. Beautiful curved windows are a fantastic feature of this house, allowing an abundance of light and postcard views of the rolling countryside.

The large dining room will seat 10 with room to spare; there is also a separate dining table in the kitchen seating 4, perfect for the children’s breakfast. The traditional farmhouse kitchen has everything you will need for your stay, the centrepiece being an impressive Aga stove.

There is plenty of outside space with a large lawned area and comfortable seating for all your party and with a gas BBQ, it's the ideal space to enjoy alfresco dining and watch the working farm; you may even have a few sheep looking over jealously.

GROUND FLOOR:
Entrance hall: 
Spacious porch area, perfect for those muddy boots, leading to all rooms.

Lounges: There are two spacious lounges, one with a large Smart TV, both with comfortable sofas and log burning stoves.

Dining Room: Large dining room seating 10 with plenty of space.

Kitchen: A traditional farmhouse kitchen, with a fantastic statement blue Aga, separate electric hob and oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and small separate dining table seating 4. Please be advised a washing machine is available on site, access must be requested from the owner during your stay.

FIRST FLOOR:
Master bedroom:
King size four-poster bed with sweeping countryside views, walk-in large ensuite shower room and separate dressing room with a small sofa.

Bedroom 2: Double four-poster bed, chest or drawers and wardrobe.

Bedroom 3: Super king size bed )or two single beds upon request) and wardrobe, with ensuite shower and W/C.

Bedroom 4: Double bed with own sink unit and dressing table.

Bedroom 5: King size bed, built in wardrobe and dressing table, with large ensuite shower room.

Bathroom: Modern bathroom suite of bath with an overhead shower, WC and wash hand basin with shelf and mirror over.

Pets: 2 pets are allowed (please note that this is a working farm and dogs must be under control at all times)

Parking: Plenty of parking available.

NB: The cottage is located on a working farm, guests must use the large garden provided and not walk around the farm yard.

One of the best accommodations we have stayed in. Beautiful house, very well equipped. Views were cracking an a great location for the lakes. We would definitely book again

Very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Beautiful setting and good location to travel into Windermere and Kendal. Due to time of year did not try local walks but I am sure they would be good.
