This beautifully styled pod is situated on a working sheep farm surrounded by the Northern Fells and has stunning views towards Blencathra. The village of Threlkeld is just over a mile away with some lovely country pubs, a cricket pavilion and a golf course. The market town of Keswick is just 4 miles away, The Mountain Festival, which is usually held in May or June, offers three days of world-class sports, outdoor activities, talks, and films with live music. The shore path at Bassenthwaite runs the length of the West shore, there is an open-air theatre which is worth a visit. The Lakes Distillery is just 12 miles away, why not book a tour or tasting session or visit the resident Alpacas.

Entering the pod, you will find a spacious bright open-plan living area with sofa and Smart TV, which will allow you to log into your Netflix account and enjoy a good film. There is a double bed with views out over the fells and a kitchen area with a two-ring gas hob, microwave and fridge with ice compartment, it offers everything you need to rustle up breakfast and a quick bite. Finally, there is a bathroom which has a shower and WC.

The pod has a nice private feel, with a dry-stone wall and planting, private parking space for one car and a lovely covered decking to the front entrance with seating.

Lovely place and people . No grill or oven is a challenge for a self catering place . Overall it was really nice though and would use it again .

Mr O,

We've had a fabulous 2 night break. The views are stunning , so peaceful and the pod - I loved it. Clean ,modern and cosy. Enjoyed the little food treats left out too - gorgeous place.

Mrs R,

It was amazing! The perfect stay

Miss R,

A beautiful cabin, such an amazing view outside and it's a brilliant location. Easy to get to Keswick or pooley bridge. Derwent water and ullswater just a short drive away. Everything you could need for a short break was available. A nice welcome basket also which had some much appreciated fudge and hot chocolate in. Very modern interior and a very comfortable bed. Overall perfect. Would highly recommend.

Miss H,

Beautiful scenery, stunning pod so cozy very clean, would definitely recommend as a get away if you love the countryside.

Mrs N,

We had a great short stay here. Lovely well presented pod set in beautiful countryside not far from Keswick. The pod was spotless when we arrived and we had a delicious cream tea waiting for us. The pod was warm and cosy. It was the perfect place for us during our stay providing everything we needed to when we returned from our days walk around the lakes.

Mr R,

Really lovely property and site would recommend to anyone.

Mr R,

Lovely pod. Very clean and well equipped

Mr H,

Second time visiting and already planning a third. Absolutely amazing in every aspect. We love it! Thankyou for another perfect stay in our favourite place.

Mrs B,

The pod was set in the most idyllic location with the most breathtaking views..It was clean, cosy and modern..i loved it and would happily live in something similar.seeing the stars at night through the roof window was extremely special and added to the whole experience .The extra touches of scones, brownies was such a welcoming treat..totally beautiful and tranquil.

Ms J,

Our stay at ‘Watson's Dodd' cabin was excellent, it was really comfortable, clean and spacious; the host was really friendly, as was her dog, Titch. The Lake District can be a really busy place, but this cabin will provide you with a really peaceful and idyllic spot to relax.

Mr W,

What a fantastic trip to the Lake District and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. The pod had everything we needed and is only a short walk away from a few cosy pubs. Our host Rosie was incredibly helpful and made sure we were comfortable throughout. We will be back!

Mr M,

Amazing pod the best I've seen, great place to relax and distress. We had no issues thoroughly enjoyed it. One tip make sure you take all your food with you as shops are few and far between with limited parking in the villages. Apart from that enjoy and taken in all the scenery it's amazing.

Mrs P,

Never stayed in a pod before but i was just blown away by Watson's Dodd. It was so clean, tidy, very stylish and had everything we needed. The view from our window was spectacular, the mighty Blencathra and Longscale Fell. Loved the theme of the highland cows. Loved the crockery - very good quality. Fabulous fluffy towels, spacious shower, lovely hot water and great water pressure. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone. i am a pod convert!

Miss B,

Really lovely accommodation. Everything we needed and more for a fantastic weekend in the Lake District. Welcone basket in arrival was lovely. Location perfect for exploring Keswick, Catbells and so many other nearby spots. Will definitely return.

Ms W,

The pod was clean, comfortable and well equipped, spectacular views and would definitely recommend to couples and families

Mrs P,

Perfect location stunning view. Pod was perfect for the two of us

Mrs A,

Beautiful views, very well-equipped and comfortable place to stay. A gorgeous place to come back to and relax in after a long hike. We had a lovely time and will definitely come again!

Miss B,

We loved our stay, we felt relaxed from the minute we arrived and unloaded the car, it was quiet and peaceful lying on the bed looking out at the sheep grazing in the fields, we were even lucky enough to see a lamb being born and taking its first steps helped by Mum! The location is great about 30 minutes walk from the village with a couple of pubs, we ate in one which was good pub grub, only about 10 minutes drive into Keswick too and some lovely country walks

Ms M,

Couldn't fault the accommodation at all it was perfect in every way. I would definitely recommend and will definitely be back

Mrs W,

Absolutely beautiful, everything you need and extra added little touches, stunning views , we can't wait to return
