Description

The Lookers Legacy is a beautifully renovated traditional brick Lookers Hut surrounded by peaceful countryside next to a vineyard.  Lookers would use these huts as their accommodation whilst caring for their flocks.  This pet-friendly property is nestled in a tranquil spot and has been stylishly renovated into the perfect country escape for two.  The open plan living area is dominated by the double bi- folding doors which open onto a secluded terrace with luxury hot tub and stunning far reaching views over the Romney Marsh.  The modern interior is sympathetic to the original design and has been carefully extended to let natural light flood into the rooms.  The entire property has been furnished with luxurious touches and there is a cosy wood burning stove for those chilly evenings.  The most striking feature of this property is the stunning rural location with walking from your doorstep, easy access to the Saxon Shore Way and a footpath which will take you to the pet friendly Ferry Inn - renowned for its seasonal Rye Bay Scallops. Tenterden and historic Rye are close by as are the golden sands at Camber, perfect for exploring in all weathers.

Reviews

We booked this accommodation for a complete break from the norm it exceeded our expectations!!We haven’t been to Kent before so lovely and would recommend to everyone we will be back to lookers legacy !!!it’s just amazing !

mr C,

The property is lovely, and in a fantastic location, but as it faces south it gets very hot, given there is a glass atrium, and a fan might be useful, although I grant we stayed over the hottest weekend currently on record!

Miss G,

Very clean and well equipped accommodation in a stunning location.

Mrs T,

A perfect getaway for couples, wanting a private relaxing in comfort time together.

Mr D,

Beautiful, secluded cottage and fitted to a high specification. The attention to detail when renovating the property was second to none. We had planned to visit local towns and villages during our stay, but loved it so much that we only made it out to the local independent supermarket and decided to cook all of our meals instead! It is the perfect cosy getaway and I would recommend it to anyone! Look forward to returning.

Miss P,

This was a fabulous location and the accommodation was top class. Easy to find and tucked away so not overlooked. The hot tub was perfect something we always look for on a holiday as it's a great way to de-stress while looking at the amazing scenery. The place was warm and inviting we didn't need to use the wood burner. Added bonus of Netflix meant we were able to chill out on the sofa watching some films we never have time for at home and still have that all round scenery while you do it. The Local Pub Ferry Inn was brilliant top class food and easy driving distance in to Tenterden where we found a gorgeous tea room Peggorty's but do book in advance as people were being turned away. I would totally recommend as a getaway from the rat race of life to recharge your batteries.

Miss H,

A lovely holiday retreat set in the beautiful Kent countryside. The cottage is well equipped, the bed is comfy & the hot tub made it feel very special. A perfect place to relax & enjoy nature

Mrs C,

Beautiful area and excellent accommodation

Mrs W,

Wonderful setting surrounded by vines. We could walk to 2 wineries offering tours and tastings. Mmm! Hot tub in the cool wet weather was wonderful to come back to. Thank you.
