The Lookers Legacy is a beautifully renovated traditional brick Lookers Hut surrounded by peaceful countryside next to a vineyard.  Lookers would use these huts as their accommodation whilst caring for their flocks.  This pet-friendly property is nestled in a tranquil spot and has been stylishly renovated into the perfect country escape for two.  The open plan living area is dominated by the double bi- folding doors which open onto a terrace with luxury hot tub and stunning far reaching views over the Romney Marsh.  The modern interior is sympathetic to the original design and has been carefully extended to let natural light flood into the rooms.  The entire property has been furnished with luxurious touches and there is a cosy wood burning stove for those chilly evenings.  The most striking feature of this property is the stunning rural location with walking from your doorstep along the footpath that runs beside the vines, easy access to the Saxon Shore Way and a footpath which will take you to the pet friendly Ferry Inn - renowned for its seasonal Rye Bay Scallops. Tenterden and historic Rye are close by as are the golden sands at Camber, perfect for exploring in all weathers.

Absolutely stunning location and beautiful property with lots of nice personal touches added for comfort. Great guest information. The photos really do not do this place justice.

This is a wonderfully located holiday cottage in the middle of a vineyard - very secluded, although you are on a footpath it is not too busy - the garden area is not enclosed so be mindful with your pet. Absolutely wonderful retreat. Set on a quiet vineyard with no noise at all around us. Cozy fire and everything you needed plus a very comfortable bed. Shall be returning when we need to retreat from the world. There is a footpath in front of the window, but we only saw one walker the four days we were there.

Best bed weve ever stayed in! A warm, modern, and peaceful cabin with responsive hosts. Beautiful setting in the middle of a vineyard. In a wonderful location, so peaceful, really enjoyed just chilling outside, it's very small, but we expected that, what an estate agent would call compact and bijou, but it really had everything you needed to be comfortable. As others have said you do need to live out of suitcases a bit and not much room for dry goods in the kitchen but honestly weRead more had a great time there. The public footpath is definitely a bit awkward, sitting in the hot tub with a glass of wine saying hi to passing dog walkers. We also nearly lost some food after an over eager hound tried to take it lol. The walkers are pretty infrequent though, probably saw less than 10 people the whole week so apart from the occasional awkward encounter it was mostly fine. Overall it was a nice stay, definitely not perfect but a solid 7-8/10 Hide

Cottage was nice, but having to have roller blind down in bedroom not great. Mirror glass film would allow couples to look out on the nice views. The only thing we have found to be negative is that it is very difficult to operate heating, so bathroom gets really cold, no matter what we done the bathroom radiator would not get warm.

This property has been originally built and equipped to the highest standard, but since then the standard of upkeep has fallen. There is no book to give feedback to the owners if anything has gone awry. Thing will always break, instructions get lost etc. so feedback is essential. It was cold one night (5 degrees ) heating was insufficient, radiatorRead more in bedroom lukewarm, radiator in kitchen area would not come on so we decided to light the log fire, we had a basket of logs but no kindling or matches. This property is ideal for a two or three night airbnb, but staying longer presents problems due to a lack of storage, the guest book says there is a box under the bed for additional storage, there isn't, you end up living out of a suitcase, there is nowhere for small items of clothing. If you bring dried food for the week as we did there is no where to put it. It's a great shame as this is a first class property in a wonderful location. Hide
