Lovely location excellent views. Very comfortable and hosts really helpful and the cottage very well equipped . A delightful holiday.

Mr H,

Booked this for my parents for a weekend away as a birthday celebration. They both came back Very happy and had nothing but good things to say. Mums comment was ‘i want to live there with the donkeys’ Dad said ‘it really is a home from home, they had thought of everything’. Might book myself for a little weekend there now. Thank you!!

Mrs H,

Lovely property, very well equipped. Owners very helpful. Donkeys amusing and love to be fed. Hope to return soon.

Mr B,

Hexden Lea had everything we were looking for. The setting is beautiful and the owners are very nice and helpful. The two resident donkeys, Reggie and Ronnie, gave us a rapturous welcome and became good friends. The property is situated In a good location for exploring the Kent countryside or for chilling-out and relaxing.

Mr H,

We will definitely be returning, me and my 9 year old had the best time. The Owners were lovely and the donkeys were ever so friendly.

Lovely little cottage with a wonderful view, and a comfortable little summerhouse for cooler evenings. Everything was spotless, well-equipped and very comfortable. Information was very helpful re places to go and places to eat out. Oh, and the donkeys were delightful and watching all the different birds on the bird feeder just outside. A very calming holiday!

Mr M,

Donkeys and new born lambs, and very friendly hosts, what more could you want? This lovely holiday home has delightful views over the countryside and is extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The surrounding Kent countryside is lovely, and with so many National Trust and other houses and gardens within very easy reach and the coast not far away its location is perfect. I had such a relaxing time and hope to return in the future.

Mrs A,

Perfect location to explore Kent and East Sussex. Comfortable and well equipped property with lovely views of the countryside. Donkeys Ronnie and Reggie were an extra treat!

Mrs E,

Booked this cottage very late as we couldnt make up our minds where to visit. It was a lovely property and owners lived next door. They were very helpful. Many National Trust Properties in the area. Also Cranburook Museum as very good Added bonus were the 2 donkeys in the field. They came each morning for a slice of brown bread

Mr W,

I really enjoyed my week at Hexden Lea. The cottage was private, well-equipped, spacious, warm, and light. Patio doors in the lounge and bedroom had stunning countryside views that I never tired of. I enjoyed feeding the donkeys, Ronnie and Reggie, and using the provided binoculars to watch birds at bird feeders in the nearby tree. The hosts were friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Lovely people!
