We had a lovely time at this cottage! The secure enclosed garden was perfect for our dog, and the surrounding grounds and lake created a beautiful setting for morning coffee. Our dog loved exploring the area around the lake, and the footpath right outside the cottage made it easy to enjoy the outdoors. With dog-friendly pubs nearby, we felt very weRead morelcome throughout our stay. The only minor drawback was the noise from the road behind the cottages, but it didnt detract much from our experience. Overall, it was a perfect holiday, and we would definitely return! Hide

Lovely, cosy, cottage located in beautiful grounds. Spotlessly clean on arrival and some nice welcome treats awaiting us. The cottage handbook gave all the information we needed. Super bathroom with huge fluffy towels and a very pretty and comfortable bedroom. We loved cosy evenings around the log burner. Excellent tv with lots of stations to chooRead morese from. Enclosed garden perfect for our little spaniel and a lovely view to wake up to. Hide

Extremely comfortable small cottage - perfect for 4. We'll situated for visiting all areas of Kent. Several good local pubs to visit for a drink or meal. Discreet owners.

Really nice property with a super enclosed outdoor space but rather small for 4 people and the road was rather noisy at times.

We had a lovely stay at Bluebell Byre with our 2 sons. In Belgium, having a public footpath in your backyard doesn't exist, so we love it here because it means the landscape is absolutely fine to see! Also the birds welcomed us, and on a sunny day (we had some, not many) it was very relaxing to have breakfast with this view. It was nice to have infRead moreormation and maps in the cottage, and in the guestbook we could read good recommendations. There's enough space and equipment (some small pans, but with some creativity that works as good as home), a bit too much pillows, actually that only adds to the authenticity of the Byre. This was what we expected, so the information on the website means you get what you see. It was also easy to communicate with the owners, very helpfull they live nextdoor. And so much to visit, Rye, Sissinghurst, Bodiam, Tenterden, Batemans... Lovely area! Hide

Had a wonderful stay at Bluebell hosted by Heather and James. We have holidayed at this location on many occasions over the years and were a little apprehensive at the change of ownership. We shouldn't have been, as we where made very welcome on our arrival (the complimentary goodies were fantastic) and the cottage accomodation (Cable TV, excellenRead moret WiFi an added bonus) was lovely and comfortable. The lake is now far more accessible due to extensive cutting/clearing and we will be looking to land some biggies next year. Enjoyed the log fire on a couple of nights which just adds to the charm of the location. Fantastic break which we very much enjoyed, and we will be returning in 2024. Hide

Bluebell Byre is in lovely grounds with a nice pond, also nice walks from the door. Wassall Lane was a delightful walk too. It was a lovely 4 night break but we did find the 2 steps in and several inside a bit of a trial for my husband. Heather was very helpful and we enjoyed everything else in the cottage, our small dog loved the garden, it is rRead moreeally secure too. We visited several lovely gardens, all not too far away.
