Description

Set down a quiet private country lane on the outskirts of the village and in Rolvenden Layne - this quirky, characterful cottage is utterly charming, welcoming and beautifully presented.  Lovely undisturbed countryside surroundings in this idyllic Kent village. The cottage can sleep up to 4 comfortably but as you have to go through the single room to get to the attic double, it is recommended for family use.  The inglenook fireplace is home to a huge wood burning stove - so winter breaks will be as cosy as summer holidays!  From this great cottage you have easy access to many places of interest including the popular country towns of Cranbrook and Tenterden, Sissinghurst Castle Gardens, Bodiam Castle, award winning Biddenden and Chapel Down vineyards, Smallhythe Place and what better way of seeing the countryside than a trip on the Kent & Sussex Steam Railway.  Great walks and rambles in the area that usually end up at the Ewe & Lamb pub!  Dog friendly...

Reviews

Such a super cosy cottage in the countryside. So good we’ve visited twice (which is unusual for us). The kitchen is so well stocked that it makes self catering easy. We love the quirky floors & doors. The log burner adds the finishing touches.

Mrs S,

Perfect in every way. There were 3 generations in our stay and there was something for young and old inside to amuse us for a couple of hours each evening. Caretaker extremely helpful. So clean, homely and well equipped in the kitchen and through out the property.

Mrs P,

Our family enjoyed a wonderful time in this characterful cottage in a beautiful part of the country. Loads to see and do in the area and this cottage provided the perfect and best equipped base to do it from. We loved it's charm and quirkiness.

Mr J J,

Garden dog safe. Local pub excellent, though food a bit pricy. Cottage full of character, wonky floors and steep stairs. Well equiped, ample hot water and warm. Beds comfy. Would definetely recommend. Very handy to see sights of kent, tenterden has everything you need, some excellent eateries there.

Mrs C,

A lovely cottage in a quiet and beautiful setting. We'd certainly go back!
