Oh wow, what a gem for the nature lover. My wife and I arrived not knowing how secluded and magical this little rustic cottage would be and were not disappointed! It is a wonderfully peaceful place for a couple to enjoy some time away from the rat race but imaginably a small family could have an absolutely memorable holiday here. It reminded us of Read moresomething from the Beatrix Potter/Enid Blyton books, with rabbits running around and just about every species of bird and other wildlife, the lawn is managed but left to grow and the orchard was bursting with woodland undergrowth. We were greeted by a green woodpecker perching in plain sight which is something we have never seen in the wild, then a large fox trotted up the path as we explored the rest of the grounds. Inside everything is available and in working order, with all the mod cons. Don't expect a modern ultra slick kitchen, it is rustic and simple but everything we needed came easily to hand and the living room has two deep comfy sofas and a decent tv & dvd player (with a drawer full of films) for the evenings. The heating was excellent and made available for us to control. Jean made us feel very welcome with a complementary gift, milk in the fridge and a handwritten note and was available by phone or knock at all times, yet she left us to our own devices so we could feel truly comfortable. My wife's name chalked onto the front gate before our arrival was such a personal touch and put a smile on her face for the rest of the evening! A truly memorable early summer break for us, many thanks. Have already recommended to a friend :) Hide

A comfortable cottage in an easily accessible but out of the way location. Lots to see in easy reach of the location, such as Leeds Castle. Some nice footpaths available from the property.

A nice little cottage, very rustic and quiet and once inside it feels like you could be stepping into a Harry Potter movie. Great for nature lovers with a variety of wild life in the old orchard, not so great for arachnophobes as I had to evict quite a few spiders, but this is to be expected in the country.

This is cottage is in a wonderfully peaceful location and is ideal for getting away from it all. The grounds are a haven for nature and there are very enjoyable walks from the cottage.
