This is a wonderfully renovated building which has been been well furnished to a high standard, the bed being particularly comfortable and well sized. A lot of thought has been put into it. There is a nice wild life garden area and always bird song, and on one evening the local fox made a fleeting appearance. The location was good for Deal and SandRead morewich, and the road network meant that the gardens of Great Dixter and Sissinghurst and the oysters at Whitstable were relatively easily available, although Derek Jarman's garden at Dungness was a bit more of a trek. A stylish, warm and comfortable cottage for 2 people, in a good location. We appreciated the log burner over New Year, with high winds and biting cold days! The welcome pack was a nice touch, and the bed was very comfortable.

We had a lovely stay at The Hideaway and Debbie and Mark were great hosts that were available if you need help and they were just a short distance away from the property. We were grateful for the welcome box of goodies, Christmas decorations and a compliment basket of wood and kindle for the wood burner. The owners also supplied additional wood bRead moreundles for 5.00 a basket which is a lot cheaper than buying it locally at the supermarket and much more convenient. The property is so comfortable and cosy especially over the cold windy weather we had over Christmas and we both felt right at home. The kitchen was well equipped for us to cook a full Christmas meal and other dishes for the reminder of our stay. The roll top bath is a nice touch of luxury as well as the rain shower head also the quality towels, bedding and additional nice touches of hand and bath/shower gel. The back of the building you find the enclosed of garden area which garden table and chairs which was peaceful. It's in a great location to see the Kent countryside and coastal areas too. We would highly recommend staying here and would consider going back in the future. Hide

The Hideaway is a lovely place to stay. Immaculately clean, very warm and comfortable, it has been converted and decorated to a very professional standard. We literally wanted for nothing, as the owners had clearly put a lot of thought into what guests might need, and were generous with their welcome pack and firewood provision. The property handboRead moreok is clear and detailed. The location of the house is ideal - despite being tucked away and very peaceful, it is close to the road network, giving easy access to the coastal towns and to Canterbury. Canterbury is less than 30 minutes away by car and is a lovely city to explore with ancient cobbled streets, a riverside walk and the magnificent cathedral. We also enjoyed Ramsgate, visiting Ramsgate caves and enjoying walks along the cliffs and around the harbour. Sandwich is quiet and very pretty, with a choice of good places to eat. For walks and wildlife visit the beautiful Sandwich and Pegwell bay. Hide
