A warm welcome awaits you at this immaculately presented detached thatched cottage. Recently refurbished to a very high standard and beautifully presented throughout, Dulcima Cottage is an exceptional 4 bedroom family home.
The original cottage was built in the 17th Century, and has been extended greatly over the years to produce the fabulous house that exists today. The cottage offers a wealth of space and comfort and is ideal for families both young and old, or groups of friends. The drive way with car port has space for up to 4 cars and leads onto a fully enclosed and thoughtfully landscaped garden with mature shrubs and trees, children's play equipment including a wooden swing and slide, separate games room with table tennis, plus the piece de resistance; a large and well equipped BBQ hut that can easily seat up to 8 people. Great for al fresco dining in style all year round!
Downstairs the cottage benefits from flexible living arrangements with plenty of space for the whole family. The cosy living room with beamed ceiling, original brick fire place with log burner and a beautiful wooden mantel piece makes an ideal room for relaxing in style. The large bespoke kitchen with underfloor heating and bi fold doors leading out onto the garden is a fantastic sociable room with space to cook, sit round the kitchen island with breakfast bar, or relax on the comfortable sofa and chairs with large wall mounted TV.
There is also a stylishly presented, beamed dining room with staircase leading up to the first floor, a utility room with large fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer, plus a separate cloakroom with sink and W.C.
Upstairs there's an elegant family bathroom plus 4 beautifully decorated bedrooms, 2 of which are en-suite. The rear bedrooms also have the added benefit of a balcony overlooking the garden.
The property lies within easy reach of the world heritage Jurassic coastline and many attractions such as Monkey World, Brownsea Island, the Tank Museum and Kingston Lacy.

This is a beautiful, well-kept cottage with some lovely quirks and lots of nooks and crannies. Nigel the housekeeper clearly does a fine job of preparing for each set of guests. The beds are comfortable and topped with good quality linen. On the negative side, the Wifi is dreadful (peeved teenager alert) and the level of road noise was unexpectedly high. That said this would make for a terrific party house for wider family with it’s lovely kitchen/snug opening out into a large inviting garden.
Absolutely fantastic place. Very comfy and feels very welcoming, couldn't of asked for anything better. Thankyou
We love this cottage! We've come two years running and it's really well equipped for babies/toddlers and plenty of room for grandparents to stay too. Highly recommended.
Very child friendly
