Reviews

A lovely well equipped cottage with parking in a quiet area of Swanage but only a few minutes walk down to explore the town and seafront. Excellent views over the bay and close to the coastal paths. An excellent base to explore the Isle of Purbeck.

Mrs T,

A very comfortable and well located house with beautiful views of the bay and a short walk into town. The house was modern, well equipped and had the advantage of private off-street parking outside the property. Would recommend.

Mrs D,

What a beautiful holiday let! Just got home from a fantastic week at this property. The location is amazing with gorgeous sea views and only a few minutes to the beach or High St. There is also a lovely park across the road. Swanage is a beautiful little seaside town with great independent shops and cafes. It also has good access to other attractions such as Corfe Castle and Studlands driving or by bus. 20 mins up hill is Durlston Country Park which has stunning views. The road to the house is very steep so do be mindful but it helped burn off the chips and ice creams! On the ground floor there was a bedroom with single/double bunk bed, large TV, desk and wardrobe. The downstairs bathroom has a bath and shower over it and there is a small utility room with a washing machine, iron/ironing board airer and a small freezer. The cupboard had lots of handy items for cleaning and washing etc. Up on the first floor was the lovely light and airy living space with gorgeous views over the sea from the Juliette balcony and window. The living area was beautiful decorated and the paintings and wall decorations gave the house a lovely seaside feel. Lovely comfy chairs and sofas smart TV with surround sound, dining room table. We loved that there were lots of leaflets and info left for us about the local area and places to visit. he kitchen was very well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. The master bedroom at the top of the house was just lovely and beautifully decorated! Very calm and peaceful with more stunning views to enjoy. The bed was lovely and comfy and the extras of a fan, hair dryer and reading material were great! Great dressing table and lots of wardrobe and cupboard space. The ensuite bathroom was fab with a bath and a shower cubicle. Lovely fluffy towels too! The whole house was exceptionally clean and very comfortable and with 3 teen daughters, it gave us all our own space. We had such a fantastic stay here and will definitely return! Highly recommend

Mr T,

Excellent accommodation and ideally situated. This was our fourth stay and we have already booked our fifth.

Miss P,

The view from the sitting room is superb. The cottage has everything you need, the bed very comfy. Parking is on site, with a walk down to the beach, not very far. We have been several times and we love it.

Mr L,

Lovely comfortable accommodation over three levels. Amazing views from the property and from the park across the road. Short walk down through park into town; fairly steep climb back up again - but plenty of benches. Would recommend.

Mrs B,

The Downs was in a lovely location, minutes from the beach and the town centre, with lots of scenic walks in the local area. The property was spotless and had everything we needed for a perfect stay.

Mr C,

Last minute booking for our family and the property was absolutely gorgeous! We loved the location, been going to Swanage for 20 years and this year was the best by far! We will be going back! Thank you for a lovely short break!

Mrs S,

Excellent location, well equipped. Very comfortable, home from home. This was our third stay at 3, The Downs. We would highly recommend it as a holiday base for exploring Swanage and the local area.

Miss P,

Nice property and local easy walk down to sea but problem have to walk back deep hill to property from sea, should have put unsuitable for older people. But younger family holiday will be great.
