Reviews

A very pretty and comfortable cottage in a lovely location

Mrs S,

It was warm, cosy, comfortable, and had the most amazing views. Christina explained everything we needed to know, and there were biscuits, milk, coffee, tea and sugar there on arrival. We would certainly book again if we wanted to visit that area another time.

Mrs C,

Very comfortable cottage with wonderful views of the river, if the weather allows.

Mr M,

Wonderful cottage beautiful inside and out had a wonderful stay and will be visiting again soon

Mrs B,

Lovely cottage, comfy beds, views to die for even in the monsoon weather Had a relaxing 2 nights in this beautiful cottage

Mrs D,

Exceptional views of the river Tamar from the cottage, not your average view from a holiday cottage.

Mr B,

We had a wonderful warm welcome and found the cottage very homely and tastefully decorated and furnished with attractive ornaments and pictures which had clearly been chosen with a lot of thought in keeping with the style and location of the property. The property was very well equipped with many items required for self catering such as cooking utensils, oil, even tea and coffee and other things that you wouldn't necessarily expect to find but which were very useful and much appreciated - such a boxes of tissues in several rooms. It was like a home from home and we will certainly miss the wonderful views. Our lifetime favourite cottage!

Mr H,

A beautiful rural location with a fabulous view over the Tamar estuary. We had a wonderful relaxing week, lovely local walks if you don’t mind hills. The cottage was delightful a real home from home and the housekeeper Christine was very attentive and helpful with recommendations on where to visit etc. We are already looking at dates for next year.

Mr T,

Lovely cottage with fantastic views perfect for a peaceful relaxing time away from big tourist spots the tamar valley is stunning

Mrs B,

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tanglewood Cottage. The garden is beautiful, secluded, kept in immaculate condition and the view to the river is just perfect. On overcast and rainy days the sunroom is a real bonus and we used it every day to enjoy our meals with those great views. The cottage offers all modern comforts while being very cosy and furnished / decorated to a high standard. The location is very secluded and perfectly quiet. Nevertheless it's only a short 15 minutes drive to Tavistock to allow access to all major conviniences. Also it's in a very central location to either visit Dartmoor, the coast and plenty of amazing sites in the area. We certainly would love to come back to enjoy this fabulous cottage again and explore the surrounding area even more. Finally a big thank you to the caretaker and house owner who were very friendly and helpful.

Mr B,

A lovely cottage, delightfully situated. Lovely views and he cottage is very well equipped and comfortable.

Mrs B,

Lovely comfortable cottage with wonderful views over the Tamar estuary. Own parking area. Would be lovely in the summer as large private garden. Only downside was no dishwasher! Would highly recommend.
