Overview

Cairn Cottage is a delightful 3 bedroom Period Town House situated in this popular area of Dartmouth. The house set in a conservation area and occupies an elevated position above the town offering magnificent views over the rooftops and the River Dart beyond.

Enjoy the stunning new decking area with glass balcony and large sofa seating where you can relax with beautiful panoramic town and river views. The garden also benefits from a Weber BBQ and Ooni Pizza Oven to enjoy al fresco dining.

Living/Dining

One two seater sofa and 3 easy chairs are available for your comfort along with a coffee table. Enjoy cosy evenings in front of the wood burner (wood available to buy locally)  Entertainment is provided by a Freeview TV/DVD combi with a selection of DVDs available for you to use, as well as a CD player and a  radio. There are a selection of board-games available in the sideboard.  An old fashioned antique dining table with matching chairs which comfortably seat 6 people.

Bathroom

Family bathroom features a large bath with a separate shower cubicle. White pedestal wash basin and toilet. A large storage cupboard which houses the boiler and extra towels and linen.

There is an additional cloakroom on the ground floor with a w.c and wash-basin.

Kitchen

The galley type kitchen features a range of base units with a gas hob and oven and is a very well equipped  with all the usual appliances including a microwave and a small fridge/freezer. The Kitchen window pleasantly looks out over across the gardens and terrace of this lovely property.

Sleeping

The Master bedroom is situated on the first floor and consists of a kingsize bed, bedside table and lamp, large dressing table and stool, storage dresser and bureau chest. A very light and spacious room.

Bedroom 2 is situated on the top floor and features traditional low-pitched ceilings, in character with the period of the property. It consists of a double bed with side tables and lamps.  A storage cupboard with ample hanging space for clothes, a travel cot is also stored here.   A delightful view from this bedroom across Dartmouth and over the River Dart.

Bedroom 3 also on the top floor consists of 2 single beds with bedside tables and lamps, a storage cupboard which houses the iron and ironing board with hanging space for clothes.  A view over the Dartmouth rooftops is very relaxing from here.

Please note: access to the top floor is via a narrow staircase with steps which may be steep for those with mobility issues or young children. If you would like further information then please contact us prior to booking.

Outside

A sunny garden with steps down to the first terrace with a cast-iron patio table and chairs. A further stunning new deck area with glass balcony has large sofa seating where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful views. There is a Weber BBQ and Ooni Pizza Oven. All perfect for al fresco dining on a warm summers evening.

Parking

There is on street parking available directly outside the property on Crowther's Hill and also on Jawbones Hill nearby.

Note: The cottage is located on a steep hill walk from Dartmouth town, that might not suit those with restricted mobility 

This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £250, which is payable with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.

Lovely house, well equipped and stunning views from the garden. You need strong legs to climb up the very steep hills from town to the house. Parking is challenging. Free parking nearby but not always available so a couple of times we parked in the free market place car park overnight. Dartmouth is very pretty and lots to do, highly recommend.
