Enjoyed returning to Southills Cottage again this year for another holiday. The location is idyllic, so peaceful and quiet. Although the lanes are narrow leading to the property, it is not too far to get into Dartmouth, Totnes and to explore the area generally. Really lovely, cosy and spacious cottage in a great setting. The mezzanine sitting room and large bedroom especially appreciated with a king size bed long enough for me at 6ft 3ins. The local Hunter's Lodge has great food and beer, less than a mile away (but a steep walk back up to the cottage). Daynes Farm Shop, nearby, has fantastic organic beefRead more, lamb, pork and goat meat - well worth a visit. Most of our meals used their meat! Local steam trains and boat trips really good and a visit to Agatha Christie's home at Greenway is essential. Hide

A lovely cottage, comfortable and well equipped. Bathroom was a great size, which so often is not the case in holiday properties. Lots of things were really thought about and left for the holidaymakers to use. It is very remote, but that is my fault for not looking into the location better.
