Falkland (5 miles) is great to explore, with its handsome palace, Outlander filming spots and the leafy paths of Maspie Den to discover afterwards. If you fancy a change of scene, spend the day in St Andrews (22.5 miles) for a stroll along the beach followed by boutique shopping and a wander around the old town, or perhaps, pop into Lindores Abbey Distillery (8 miles) on the way back for a whisky tasting session. For something faster-paced, Knockhill Racing Circuit is within 20 miles.
