Discover a warm welcome and an exceptional sense of style from the moment you step into this chic, reverse-level retreat. Leave your coats, jackets and shoes in the boot room and from the hall wander through to three of your bedrooms. One of these, a king-size, has an en-suite shower room and sliding doors onto the lakeside deck. There are also two twins, one with an en-suite bathroom and zip-and-link beds that can be made into a super-king-size on request. This lovely room also benefits from an external door, allowing you to step out beside the water as soon as you awake. The splendid, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is situated on the first floor of the house, where it has a high, vaulted ceiling and captures the views out over the lake via its great bank of windows. Here you can choose between opening the doors to the deck on summer days and stoking up the wood burner when it is chilly. Spread out on the plush seating to read one of the books or play one of the games provided, or simply find your favourite programme and watch the TV for a while. The kitchen, which has a breakfast bar set into a peninsula, has been designed to make self-catering smooth during your stay, and there is a long, wooden table to gather round for lively holiday meals. Make fresh coffee in the machine and carry it through to the snug for a few quiet moments to yourself. There is also a WC on this level. Make your way up another set of stairs to find the enticing super-king-size bedroom on the mezzanine level. This gorgeous space, which looks out over the lake and has air-conditioning, features a chic en-suite shower room that is open to the bedroom.
Choose whether to unwind out on the lower deck, where there are steps straight down to the lake, or the upper deck, where you can cook out on the BBQ. The upper deck can be accessed from the living area or via an external spiral staircase. There is space to the side of the house to store bikes and other outdoor equipment. Explore the nature reserve to your heart’s content. Hire water sports equipment or bring your own, then take to the water to go paddle boarding, kayaking or canoeing on one of the lakes. Go fishing, sign up for a guided walk and join in a yoga session. Guests can hire bikes, go swimming in the natural pond or the indoor or outdoor pool. Charges may apply for some activities. There is an on-site restaurant and a shop. Guests have private parking for one car.
