This two-storey timber lodge occupies an elevated woodland position within Bulworthy Forest Lodges, a 25-acre estate of forest and lakeside grounds in North Devon. With views stretching across Webbery Lake and the surrounding woodland, it offers a peaceful countryside retreat for families and groups of friends seeking to enjoy the area's natural beauty. Sleeping up to six guests across three bedrooms, the lodge is ideally placed for making the most of walking trails, birdwatching and free coarse and carp fishing across the estate's five on-site lakes. The surrounding area offers plenty to explore, including Bideford, a historic market town on the River Torridge with independent shops, cafés and a twice-weekly Pannier Market. The coastal villages of Appledore, Instow and Clovelly are all within reach for days out along the North Devon shoreline, while the Tarka Trail provides excellent opportunities for walking and cycling through the surrounding countryside. Please note that due to its elevated position, external steps and steep open cottage-style stairs, the lodge is not suitable for guests with mobility issues or very young children.
An open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area on the ground floor creates a welcoming and sociable space for spending time together. A Smart TV provides entertainment in the living area, while double glazing and central heating ensure comfort throughout the seasons. The accommodation includes a double bedroom and a single bedroom on the ground floor, with a further double bed and single bed located on the first floor, where guests also have access to a balcony overlooking the surrounding woodland. The bathroom is fitted with both a bath and a separate shower. Wi-Fi is available throughout the lodge, pets are welcome with up to two dogs permitted, and all accommodation is non-smoking.
The veranda enjoys elevated views across Webbery Lake and the surrounding woodland, creating a wonderful spot to relax and take in the peaceful setting. An outdoor hot tub is positioned here, offering a soothing place to unwind after a day exploring North Devon. An electric BBQ is provided for al fresco cooking, while free coarse and carp fishing is available across all five on-site lakes, with guests welcome to bring their own rods and tackle. The lodge is accessed via approximately 20 external steps from the parking area and includes parking for one car. A shared tumble dryer is also available on site, completing a well-equipped base for enjoying North Devon's mix of countryside, coastline and outdoor pursuits.
