Tucked away on a secluded private estate, this picturesque property is surrounded by peaceful grounds. The inspiration behind Arthur Ransome’s Swallows and Amazons, Coniston Water offers a range of pursuits from leisurely lakeside strolls to motorboating, paddleboarding and cruises on the Coniston Launch. Just 5 miles away, the village of Coniston is home to a Ruskin Museum and no less than four pubs, great for enjoying a hearty meal after a long day on the water. Meanwhile, more amenities can be found in the market town of Ulverston, 8.5 miles south, which is also home to the Laurel and Hardy Museum. Or, for more adventure, head for Grizedale Forest, 12 miles away, and its Tree Top Adventures, Segways and Go Ape high ropes course.

Inside, this modern apartment is open plan and inviting, with wooden flooring, cool neutral decor and industrial-style lighting, together with original shutters and panelling. Step outside through the French doors onto the delightful private patio, which offers fell-top views and glimpses of Coniston Water. Meanwhile, to the front of the property are beautiful shared grounds, perfect for morning strolls with the dog. Unmarked parking bays are available outside the property.

Really lovely cottage in a beautiful setting. Warm and welcoming. We had a great week here and the dogs loved it as well. We would certainly like to go again.

Absolutely incredible! Perfect location, and cosy, tranquil accommodation that was perfect for a couple wanting to enjoy the Lake District. We hope to visit again soon! Highly recommended!

Perfect location for South Lakes, great outdoor space for 2 dogs to potter safely. Comfortable and cosy. Looking to return in future.

Lovely stay, everything we needed for a few days rest and recuperation. Only one disappointment, as I had booked this for my wifes birthday and bringing our little dog, I was disappointed to find several large amounts of dog mess left in the back garden and had to clean it all up on my arrival fortunately before night fall and anyone walking througRead moreh it. Dog owners just please respect etiquette and the cottages owners. Hide

Lovely cosy apartment perfect for rest and relaxation. Beautiful walks to the Copper Mines and Grizedale forest. The owner was responsive, friendly and helpful and made me feel right at home. Peaceful grounds to explore with my dog. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

The cottage is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. It is a great location for visiting all the attractions. It is also a short walk to the lake, where we did some open water swimming..

Very comfortable and well equipped abode . The boiler was broken in the apartment we had booked so the owner accommodated us in another one which luckily was available. These things happen and the owner dealt with it really appropriately.

Amazing location and place to stay - out of the way and very quiet and peaceful ! Cottage is well equipped and very comfortable and cosy . Ideal for on the doorstep dog walks and access to nature . Would definitely recommend a visit .

We had a great week in the apartment and found it to be very comfortable. It was lovely to spend the day exploring, knowing we would be going back to our cosy base. Being so close to the lake was an added bonus and the dogs really appreciated the whole experience too. Very relaxing - thank you.

well designed cottage stocked with everything you could need. Very comfortable bed and bath with a view Great base for exploring the Lakes area round Coniston with some fab guidebooks on hand for ideas, Very dog friendly cottage.

Lovely comfortable place in a nice location. We enjoyed our stay. Only minor is need to look after outside area better where you sit outside.
