A lovely house for three generations to celebrate my husbands 80th birthday. We had a great time in spite of the weather. There were enough books, games, jigsaws and videos to keep everyone happy. We need to come back in better weather to make full use of the outside areas.

What a fabulous place, perfect for our family get together. We had 4 kids and 4 adults celebrating 2 birthdays, this place has though of everything from loads of books, I've never seen so many in 1 place apart from a library, the kids were very entertained by how old some of them were. Beautifully presented cottage. We particularly loved the family room upstairs with the piano and access to the lawned garden through the patio doors. We also loved the various sitting rooms and the fact that the layout of the house fed round, with two staircases giving access to the upstairs bedrooms. We also liked looking through the front windowsRead more at the river estuary. All in all, great location to lots of good tourist spots and just near a garage with shop attached. Hide

Great well equipped property, lots of areas for individual or joint spaces. Books galore, great selection of games if the weather isn't kind. Good outdoor space which the dogs loved. Aga was a challenge cooking for 10 adults. Access for EV charger via double gates but access could be difficult due to vehicles parking opposite the gates.

What a beautiful clean comfortable house with everything you could possibly need. Pictures dont do it justice! So much space for all nine of us to spread out. Loved using the Aga as well. Really good base for the area and we had great days out. The Duddon estuary down the road is worth a visit. Would definitely come back!
