The Barn was very clean and comfortable. Beautiful setting. Loved seeing the birds, squirrels and rabbits. Even saw a deer on the last morning

A wonderful week was spent in your lovely cosy cottage in an idyllic situation within easy reach of places to visit.e.g Beamish Open air museum and National Trust properties.The owners were very welcoming and helpful. We would highly recommend this holiday cottage.

The Barn at Woodland Escape is amazing.It has everything you need,& want,for a lovely break.It's truly a 'home from home'.The setting & views are breathtaking.It starts with the drive which is long & winding & takes you to Ruth & John's cottage,The Barn & Friars Hide.You can walk anywhere on Ruth & John's land & you may just see the deers as we didRead more.We loved staying here & we intend to go again next year but for a wk this time.Ruth & John are perfect host's & Charlie,the doggie,is just lovely. The Barn truly is a home from home, I wish we had booked 2 weeks. Thoroughly relaxing and peaceful. The owners are so lovely and happy to help, its the best holiday home weve stayed in and the bed was so comfy!

The cottage and the property are lovely and so are the hosts. From the house you can make several small walks. We spotted many deer. We visited some impressive waterfalls in the neighborhood

Beautiful cottage in perfect location for visiting the North East of England. Owners friendly and helpful, kindly gave us a discount code for entry into Beamish. Open fire lovely and easy to light and keep going! Comfortable mattress, good quality pillows. An enjoyable stay.
