Grab your backpack and mountain bike and venture off into your beautiful surroundings to follow picturesque footpaths, or hike 1 mile up to Bromlow Callow to take in the panoramic views. The undulating landscape to the Bronze Age stone circle of Mitchell’s Fold (3.5 miles) is set in dramatic moorland on Stapeley Hill and is worth exploring. Alternatively, strike out to the wild surroundings of the quartzite ridge of the Stiperstones, 5 miles away. For a bit of retail therapy, head into the market town of Shrewsbury (15 miles) to stock up on local produce, dine out and visit the red sandstone castle.

Take two steps up into the timber-clad barn to find bright, airy, studio-style accommodation with a clean, minimalist interior design.
