This beautiful barn is situated just a short drive away from the Victorian fishing town of Ilfracombe. With an array of eclectic independent shops, galleries and a renowned theatre, Ilfracombe offers a wonderful holiday retreat for those looking for a cultural experience. For keen walkers, this area offers easy access to rugged coastal walks or breath-taking rambles across Exmoor National Park. Located on the North Devon coast, there is a plethora of golden sandy beaches to discover, more notably Saunton Sands and Woolacombe, both of which are within easy driving distance. Discover some of North Devon’s finest offerings including a selection of National Trust sites, adventure parks and pretty gardens to explore. For a relaxing day out, Lundy Island is well worth a visit. You can see the Island on the horizon and is home to a wide variety of wildlife and marine life. The MS Oldenburg departs from Ilfracombe so arranging this trip couldn’t be easier.

On entering the split level detached barn, you will realise a sense of light and space. From the hallway the first bedroom is accessed by a spiral staircase, and is a beautiful luxurious bedroom with exposed beams. A large super king-sized bed with Smart TV, walk in wardrobe and en-suite bathroom with roll top bath with shower attachment and WC. Both other bedrooms are located on the ground floor, 1 super king-size with Smart TV/DVD and en-suite shower room and a twin bedroom. Heading down steps in the lounge is bright and airy room with French doors overlooking the garden and out towards the sea, the lounge is equipped with a Smart TV and Blu-ray DVD. The kitchen, with it’s a frame beams and country style is well equipped to prepare and cook your favourite meals, with a large gas range style oven and hob with dishwasher. The utility room next to the kitchen houses the fridge/ freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. There is also an additional shower room with WC.

Heading outside is a patio area, large garden, garden furniture, swing bench, BBQ and Hot Tub.

Another fantastic stay at Owls Barn, lovely tidy property with ample space for a large family and the dogs. The children thoroughly enjoyed Easter egg hunting in the wonderful garden. This was our fifth time visiting and would happily recommend.

Me and my family had the perfect stay at owls barn. Beautiful accommodation and location. Sitting in the hot tub, drinking champagne whilst looking out towards the sea.. it doesnt get much better than that. Would highly reccomend. We would love to come back in the summer. Absolutely fantastic.

Lovely place to stay has a very well equipped kitchen . Comfy beds and the best views . Just a very peaceful place to stay. Just wish it had stopped raining ! But TV had loads of channels to watch . Thank you hopefully will be back . Also the garden is well enclosed for our dogs .

No view of fields and sea when seated in lounge area as windows are set too high. Patio doors look out onto hot tub! Mezzanine bedroom unpractical as there is no way to cut out sounds from downstairs including tv. Comfortable beds and seating. Well equipped kitchen and utility area. This cottage is fantastic. Located perfectly for North Devon beaches and with incredible views across to South Wales. It was clean, comfortable, and very nicely decorated. A Top Quality rural Dog Friendly accommodation Excellent facilities, extremely spacious and designed with expert flair throughout. Had a great time staying at owls barn, very clean and comfy and amazing view over the fields full of sheep with a sea view. Lots of space for dogs and toddler to run about and well fenced off from the field and roads. Didnt manage to get any mobile signal or internet at the property though so plan ahead with directions to local beach etc!

Our third visit to Owls Barn and it wont be the last! A great property in a great location, comfortable and clean. Ideal for our dogs and family of 5. We always look forward to visiting and are sad to leave at the end of the week.

Fantastic cottage in a fabulous location. The cottage was so homely and welcoming and we had a thoroughly relaxing week. Everything you need is at hand in the spacious accommodation. Hot tub was wonderful with great views over the surrounding countryside, and great sized enclosed garden for our Golden Retriever to explore. Lovely property with sea views across to Wales. Positioned centrally for visiting Saunton sands to the left and Lynton to the right and everything between. 5 adults and three dogs, we all agreed we would be happy to return. Owners close by and very helpful.

Excellent location and a building with a nice build quality however we had Multiple issues with electric appliances not working and the smoke alarm battery beeping all through the night. The smoke alarm being on the vaulted ceiling of the kitchen meant it couldnt be reached so beeped all night. This along with a poorly equipped & maintained kitchenRead more, intrusive quad bike tours and impolite hosts took the edge off. Holiday cottages were excellent.
