Alternatively, head off to Ladybower Reservoir (9 miles) to hit the cycling trails or try your hand at paddleboarding. Further afield, explore the house, gardens and riverside walking routes at Chatsworth House and Estate (11 miles) - one of England’s most famous stately homes.
Step inside and you’ll find a beautiful sitting room where thick stone walls and striking exposed ceiling beams add a real traditional charm to the space, the perfect place to snuggle up by the glowing gas stove with a glass of wine in hand. Whip up some dinner in the kitchen/diner and share a romantic meal at the dining table.
