For days out, there are a host of local attractions within easy reach, including the famous and spectacular Colchester Zoo, RSBP Flatford Wildlife Garden Jimmy’s Farm and Wildlife Park and the Seaquarium located on the pier at Clacton-on-Sea. For those in need of retail therapy, Colchester, Ispwich and beautiful Bury St Edmunds are just half an hour away by car. If you prefer to leave the car behind, Manningtree station servicing Liverpool street is only five minutes away by taxi.

Upon entering this stunning Scandinavian-style lodge, you will be struck by the stylish open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which boasts gorgeous views out to the Dedham Vale through the bi-fold doors which span the front of the property. The social hub of the lodge, it has everything you need to entertain friends and family with comfort and style. The chef amongst you will enjoy preparing hearty meals in the sleek kitchen, which features an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, dishwasher and washing machine. Enjoy lazy breakfasts, light snacks and delicious dinners at the dining table which comfortably seats four guests. After enjoyable days out, relax in the comfortable lounge with sofa and chairs that surround a wood burner. The sizeable Smart TV allows you to stream or watch your favourite shows with the sunset providing a perfect backdrop. There are two bedrooms; the master bedroom has a double bed with bedside tables, chest of drawers and a coat rack to hang your more formal garments, and the second bedroom has twin beds (which can be made into a king size on request), again with drawers and a coat rack, making this property ideal for a small family or two couples. The family bathroom has a bath, separate shower and WC, so wake up to an envirgorating soak before heading out to enjoy the beautiful local area.

Set within peaceful countryside, having a partly enclosed garden with hedging, but not fully enclosed, you couldn't find a better spot to enjoy your freshly ground morning coffee and breakfast, either al fresco on the terrace with the table and chairs provided, or in the comfort of the lodge. The location of the lodge is lovely, made even nicer by the brilliant bi-fold doors. Even with all other lodges being used, we did not feel overlooked. Lovely little country walks near the entrance. The hot tub is, of course, a fantastic addition to the place.

What a fantastic property offering everything you need and more. Little extras such as picnic mats provided, coffee and milk too to make everything that little bit easier. Grounds are lovely and the hot tub brilliant. Recommend to friends already and seek to return ourselves

What a wonderful lodge! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and made good use of the lovely hot tub. There are great walks from the back of the lodges too, so it was good for the dog. It was great to have a warm outside tap to hose the dog off. Having a washing machine and dishwasher just made life easier. We would definitely recommend the lodge.
