Situated within a dark sky area of the Isle of Wight, this pleasant and historic home has been lovingly restored for a group of six friends or a large family. Located on the grounds of Appuldurcombe House, this is a rural spot with far-reaching countryside views. You can find pubs and shops in the village of Wroxall, which is just down the road (1 mile), also home to the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary, which is well worth a trip for animal lovers. The picturesque seaside resort of Ventnor is 3 miles away and has a lovely, subtropical microclimate and sandy beach. If you are feeling energetic, take a long walk or cycle ride along the coast path, or the network of inland trails through the island.

Stepping inside, this home blends contemporary decor with characterful features, and has a fantastic open-plan living space where you can spend quality time with your loved ones. The stylish farmhouse kitchen has everything you need to create meals for all occasions, and sit around the breakfast table while you plan the day ahead. A handy utility room has laundry facilities. When your stomachs are full, fire up the warming wood burner in the lounge and curl up on the sofa, play games, or flick on the Smart TV to watch your favourite shows. Completing the ground floor is a cosy single bedroom and a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. Climb the stairs to the first floor, where the remaining bedrooms await. A sumptuous king-size bedroom, a twin bedroom, and a second single bedroom, providing flexible sleeping arrangements for your whole group. Another family bathroom is also located on this floor.

The cottage was lovely and rooms comfortable. However none of the three bedrooms had a mirror. Also sadly there was no frying pan, or lidded dish for a family meal. (Dozens of cookbooks though!) We loved the walled garden, and unseasonal weather meant we needed the efficient heating. Kitchen good for socialising and modern equipment. Beautiful cottage, tastefully furnished in a stunning location.Very well equipped for a week away and thoughtful touches with handwash, washing up liquid , tea towels , cloths and dishwasher tablets at the property and very comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Beautiful house, great utility room - perfect for the dog! Fantastic kitchen, fully equipped. Tasteful decor and very clean. We had a wonderful stay, the surrounding area is gorgeous with lovely places to visit. Lovely enclosed garden, it was warm enough to sit outside with a cup of tea and a good book after a long dog walk at the beach.
