This property is the first of three interconnecting but separate barns. This luxurious barn provides a perfect location for a relaxing holiday on the Suffolk coast. Located near the Suffolk/Norfolk border with easy access to the many idyllic fishing villages and larger towns, guests will find everything from traditional seaside fares to romantic eateries. To the North, Gorleston offers a stunning bay with golden sand beaches and clifftop restaurants, further North is the seaside resort of Great Yarmouth with Sea World. Those harking back to childhood memories can enjoy the history and heritage of the fishing industry and wealth created by the sardine trade along the quayside. For a bit of candy-floss and kitsch, the seafront provides illuminations, pier, promenades, arcades, funfair and a sandy beach. To the South, another traditional seaside town Lowestoft is just a few miles away and few miles beyond are the towns of Southwold and Alburgh which are a must-visit for any stay in Suffolk. Take a trip inland to the magical waterways of the Norfolk broads or the many English Heritage sites that dot the landscape.

Enter this fantastic barn through the side of the property where you walk through into a lobby area that has a separate WC and is also the perfect place to kick off your walking boots before heading into a wonderfully presented lounge/kitchen/diner with limestone floors, fabulous artwork bursting with character with its exposed original beams. The lounge area is perfect for you to enjoy some social downtime with three sofas that surround a Smart TV so you can stream or watch your favourite shows with loved ones. The chef in the group will love the space the kitchen offers when preparing culinary delights. As well as a gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher you have a kitchen island complete with three bar stools, should anyone want to grab a light snack or just watch you cook. The formal dining table can seat up to six people. If you prefer the experience of al fresco dining, then you can open up the patio doors conveniently located across the side of the open-plan living area and serve food outside with ease from the kitchen. This property is located on the ground floor and offers three king-size bedrooms each with an en-suite shower room and WC. All bedrooms have patio doors that lead on to a patio area and come equipped with Smart TV's, wardrobes and drawers, and one with a walk-in wardrobe. So lots of space to put your suitcases away.

Outside is accessed via the French doors from the kitchen and here you have a communal courtyard with plenty of your own dedicated limestone constructed seating area surrounded by beautiful plants with a hot tub to soak away those tired muscles whilst stargazing in blissful surroundings. There is private off-road parking for up to three cars.

We've just returned from a week long break at The Jasmine. My feedback is as follows; 1. Coffee machine doesn't work and no instructions left. This has been left in a previous clients feedback so the owners haven't acted on it. 2. Beds are very uncomfortable as are the pillows. This claims to be a 5 star property. Nobody got a decent night's Read moresleep. 3. The dishwasher isn't connected properly so moves every time you open it. 4. The heating doesn't work properly, it's always on in the en suites. This has been left in a previous clients feedback so the owners haven't acted on it. 5. The en suite with the double vanity has ants. We couldn't use the shower in there because they appeared in large numbers every time we tried. 6. The wardrobe in the double vanity room is unsafe. We opened it fully to load our belongings and it fell forward because the door over balanced it. 7. Lots of soap/shampoo/conditioner dispensers were missing altogether and those that we're there weren't labelled. In summary, whilst it was clean, spacious and bright, it is not a 5 star property, I would say more like 3.5 to 4. The other comments about noise from the adjoining properties are also accurate. No one was overly noisy next door, there's just no sound proofing between properties so probably better suited for those who want to rent out the whole site. Hide

The property is marketed as, and gives the impression of, a luxury property. Whilst the standard of furnishings is good, the equipment in the kitchen left a lot to be desired. There were only 5 dessert spoons for 6 adults, 3 soup spoons, no teapot, no oven gloves, mixing bowls, grill pan etc etc. Trying to cook was frustrating due to the lack of eqRead moreuipment. Crockery was insufficient for 6 people, a hotch potch and mismatched. There was a new coffee machine but no instructions. No list of emergency contact numbers or local information. The underfloor heating was not working properly; it had to be on or off as the room thermostats didnt work so it was either too hot or too cold. The towel rails did not heat initially and a plumber had to be called; the towel rails leaked. The sink in the cloakroom was out of action due to damage by the previous tenants .Lighting was poor in the living areas for reading and close work. The property was spotless. It was comfortable, there was soap by the sinks and shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in the shower. Hot tub was so relaxing. Its in a great location just approx 10 mins from Great Yarmouth, also by caister on sea, Lowestoft. I would highly recommend this property. I would stay there again.

We loved our stay at The Jasmine! The cottage is gorgeous, and finished to a high standard. Lorraine, the manager, gave us a warm welcome and made us feel at home. Three spacious bedrooms with comfy beds (plus an extra single for the kids) made it perfect for families. The sunny patio with BBQ and seating was ideal, and the hot tub with towels proRead morevided was a real treat. Great location too: close to shops, Gorleston beach, and the Norfolk/Suffolk coast. Built to a high spec but maintenance an issue - doors and windows sticking and difficult to open/close. Extremely comfortable beds. Great showers. Plentiful seating. Good wifi. The Jasmine was perfect for our holiday in the area, plenty of room everywhere inside and out. A short drive to the nearest shop, lots of lovely walks in the surrounding area, would definitely recommend.

THE WORST TRIP EVER! such a shame the house is actually nice, however I would never stay again its a big barn split into three properties with no sound proofing at all just a old wooden door separating you from the neighbours. ours were horrible played music til gone 2am every night we felt like we were in a night club. couldn't use the hot tub as Read moreits a shared garden all open and our neighbours were so intimidating & aggressive. complained and the owner didn't care at all! over priced left early- Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your feedback. The cottage was very well decorated and large tho it is in a very remote area. The above additions need to be made for it to be comfortable for guests.

Absolutely beautiful home and very well presented. It has everything you need and that little bit more too. The hot tub is lovely and the outside area is nice to enjoy breakfast on. We really enjoyed our stay here and found it a very good location to visit other local areas, the village pub was also very nice for dinner. Loved the little touches of washing up liquid, hand soaps etc. Having beds made up was great too. Manager Lorraine was fantastic. Definitely worth the money she's paid.
