Set deep in the Gloucestershire countryside, on a farm in the Hamlet of Etloe, this spectacular stone barn offers the perfect setting for a memory-making getaway with family and friends. Located along the banks of the River Severn, the friendly village of Blakeney has a friendly pub, a well-stocked local store, the ever-popular fish & chip shop and a post office. Keen cyclists can join the winding tracks and trails through the ancient oak woodlands and pine forests of the Forest of Dean, 8 miles away. Reconnect with the great outdoors by hiring a canoe from Symonds Yat (17 miles) to explore the Wye Valley or by visiting the Dean Heritage Centre (5 miles) with 5 acres of grounds to discover. Nestled in the lower reaches of the Wye Valley, the thriving market town of Monmouth can be reached within 16 miles. Other nearby attractions include Go Ape, Mallards Pike, Clearwell Caves, and Puzzlewood.

Perfectly blending rustic features, including exposed beams and oak-framed windows, with elegant contemporary touches, this lovingly restored former barn offers a wonderfully homely atmosphere. A few external stone steps lead up to the front door, welcoming you into a bright and airy entrance hallway with ample space for coat and boot storage. From here, a few steps up guide you into the spacious kitchen/diner at the heart of this home-away-from-home. Centred around a large, bespoke kitchen island and featuring a sleek, sophisticated finish, this beautiful space will capture your imagination, inspiring you to prepare hearty breakfasts, perfect picnics, and delicious dinners with your new local flavours. The remaining part of this stunning space offers cosy seating and large windows, formerly the original barn doors, along with full-length windows that open onto the garden terrace – ideal for entertaining and outdoor dining. Adjoining this living area, you’ll find a cosy lounge brimming with rustic charm, showcasing gorgeous, exposed timbers that reflect the barn’s rich heritage. There’s also a handy utility room on this level. A stunning wooden staircase leads to a mezzanine landing, where four blissful bedrooms with exposed beams and soft furnishings invite tired travellers to relax. There is one en-suite king-size bedroom, one double bedroom, one twin bedroom, and one single bedroom. The contemporary family bathroom on this level is stylish and equipped with everything you need to feel refreshed.

From sunrise to sunset, the enclosed garden provides a tranquil retreat, from dining alfresco on the patio terrace to relaxing in the bubbling hot tub to soothe tired muscles. The garden also overlooks an orchard, which is often filled with sheep. Enjoy a leisurely swim in the heated indoor pool. Etloe farm Barn was perfect to enjoy a relaxed and special time away with the family. Long table for family meals plus seating near BBQ was great, overlooking glorious countryside. Hot tub was very popular with everyone plus the times booked just for our family in the pool.

The Barn is really lovely. The hot tub a fantastic addition, but most of all the opportunity to go to the onsight swimming pool and use it without anyone else there was brilliant. The sheep and lambs were in the field and we were so lucky to have sunshine so everything had a bright, pretty, and relaxing feel. The owners were so nice and welcoming, Read morevery approachable and thoughtful and that is something we really appreciate. There are walks from the doorstep. Just a little way overlooking the estuary which is also lovely to look at. I 100% am glad I chose Etloe Barn. It ticket every box for us. Really great ! And Thankyou so much ! Hide

We had a wonderful stay at Etloe Farm Barn. It is a beautiful place - it is homely and spacious. The kitchen is fantastic. The owners had thought about everything. There were wonderful little touches which really enhanced our stay - for example the lifestyle magazines, blankets, well stocked kitchen (salt, washing tabs and cleaning fluids, TupperwaRead morere pots), toys for the children to use in the swimming pool. The comms were perfect - helpful and informative but in no way intrusive. We will definitely stay again. Hide

Brilliant cottage with loads of space and storage. Its was well equipped and there is nothing negative I can say about it. The hot tub and pool were both great and the communication with the owners was easy.
