Also take time to explore the Norman castle and its 16 acres of grounds, where there is a labyrinth and a children’s playground. The younger members of your party will also enjoy the Bowland Wild Boar Park, 6.5 miles away. Plan a trip to famous Pendle Hill, 18 miles away. This area is known as the former home of the Pendle Witches. Here, the renowned witch trials were held in 1612.
