Gather family and friends at this charming character cottage in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Tucked away in a peaceful spot with lovely views across the hills, it’s under 0.5 miles from the cobbled streets of Hawes, where guests can peruse its weekly market, stop by cosy cafes, and enjoy Yorkshire puddings at the welcoming pubs. Visit the famous Wensleydale Creamery (0.5 miles) for cheese tasting or step back in time at the Dales Countryside Museum (under 1 mile). Experience England's highest single-drop waterfall at Hardraw Force (2 miles) or lap up the beauty of the 200-year-old attraction of Aysgarth Falls (10 miles). Spend days mooching the beautiful gardens and fortress of Bolton Castle (13 miles) before returning to Hawes for hearty portions of fish and chips. With so much to see and do, this is an inviting base for walkers, cyclists, and families alike.

Step through the threshold and into the country-style kitchen/diner. Exposed brick, dark woods and ample appliances provide a delightful space to practice your culinary expertise, while the large dining table is excellent for gathering and planning your days ahead. An adjacent utility room containing a washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as a nearby WC, is available for use. A games room with a pool table and a selection of games promises some brilliant nights in. Continue through into the living room, which is complete with a cosy wood burner, overhead beams, a Smart TV and leather sofas, setting the tone for relaxing with a glass of bubbles. Heading upstairs to the first floor, you’ll discover three pretty bedrooms, one king-size with Freeview TV and an en-suite bathroom and a further king-size and twin room. There is an additional shower room and bathroom on this floor, providing ample washing facilities for the entire troop.

Outside is a haven of tranquillity for those seeking peace in the country. Gorgeous flowers and plants overflow here, and with seating nestled within the greenery. It's the perfect spot for reading a book or savouring a cup of coffee. Strike up the BBQ each night and tuck into flame-grilled feasts at the outdoor table. A great place for a celebratory weekend away with friends. It was a lovely cottage, well positioned and we were blessed with good weather! The fire was well used as it was a cold weekend and the pool table went down a storm - thank you!
