Situated on the edge of a superb country estate near Lincoln, this comfortable home offers an ideal retreat for families or groups of friends. Just 5 miles from the city centre, you’ll have easy access to Lincoln’s historic cathedral, castle, shops, and restaurants. Closer to home, the estate itself has much to offer, including scenic woodland walks, cycling routes, a farm shop, a café, and a second café/restaurant. The historic Doddington Hall and its beautiful gardens are also nearby. For something a bit different, try a game on the estate’s padel courts or explore the home interiors and country clothing stores. There’s also a Giant cycle shop on-site offering bike hire, making it easy to enjoy the surroundings on two wheels. Whether you’re picking up fresh produce, enjoying a meal, or simply soaking in the peaceful setting, there’s plenty to enjoy without needing to venture far.

This comfortable, tastefully decorated holiday home is located on the Doddington Estate, offering a practical base for families or groups looking to explore the surrounding countryside and nearby Lincoln. Inside, the entrance hall includes a cloakroom and a useful utility room—ideal for storing coats, boots, or outdoor gear after a day out. The modern open-plan kitchen and dining area is light and spacious, with a breakfast bar and everything you need to prepare simple meals during your stay. The nearby lounge is a relaxed space to gather, with sofas, a Smart TV, and patio doors that lead to the garden. Also on the ground floor is a twin bedroom with an en-suite wet room, designed to be more accessible for guests with limited mobility. Upstairs, you’ll find three more bedrooms: one double with an en-suite bathroom, a twin with skylights and en-suite, and another double with its own en-suite as well – a convenient setup for sharing with friends or family.

Outside, there’s a large private garden with a table, chairs, and a BBQ available in the summer months. The estate shops and cafés are within walking distance as are the padel courts. There’s also off-road parking for up to four cars. This cottage is one of four holiday homes available to book on the estate, which is handy for larger groups travelling together.

Lovely cottage for a family of all ages. The downstairs bedroom is ideal for those less mobile. The cottage was very cosy and warm and there was always a good supply of hot water. Set in beautiful grounds, with lots of nice shops and walks. The visit to Doddington Hall for free was a nice bonus. Would definitely visit again.
