This semi-detached stone cottage is set on a working farm in the beautiful Dulais Valley, on the outskirts of the village of Crynant. It’s the perfect rural escape for families or friends, whether you want to sit back and enjoy the views or head outdoors for fresh air and energetic activities. You can walk into the mountains from the door, or perhaps pick up the Dulais Valley Heritage Trail and learn about the area’s rich and varied history. The thrilling waterfall at Aberdulais is only 3 miles away, while the spectacular Dan-yr-Ogof showcaves are 11 miles away. If you’re missing city life, vibrant Swansea is 11 miles, and offers all kinds of attractions, including national and independent shops, an excellent indoor market, a choice of eateries, a tropical zoo, a waterpark and plenty of museums. For a day at the beach, head to Langland Bay and its safe swimming waters.

Impressive original features form part of the appeal of this beautiful getaway, including exposed stone, oak floors, shuttered windows and majestic beams. Natural colours and textures combine to create a warm and welcoming ambience. After kicking off your walking boots in the hall, head first into the kitchen/diner, where the chef of the holiday can conjure up delicious meals on the traditional range cooker. These creations can then be enjoyed at the sociable dining table. After supper, stroll through to the bright and spacious lounge, where a wood burner set within a huge stone chimney provides additional warmth in the winter months or after days in the great outdoors. Snuggle up, switch on the Smart TV, and stream your favourite show for a completely relaxing time. A beautifully fitted-out wet room completes the ground floor. Upstairs, tucked under the eaves, there are three bedrooms: a handsome king with an elegant antique French bed and an en-suite shower room, and two twins, each with 3’ beds. There’s also a family bathroom on this floor.

For al fresco meals and drinks, your private patio area boasts dining furniture and a BBQ. A highlight of this property is its shared spa facilities, also used by a neighbouring holiday cottage. There’s a large, indoor heated pool, a sauna and – the piece de resistance – a hot tub which has incredible views over the March Hywel Mountain. Guests will be provided with alternative morning (9am - 1pm) and afternoon (1pm - 5pm) sessions to the sister property for private use with subject to availability for maintenance. Let the little ones run, climb, swing and slide in the fresh air, using the shared outdoor play area. The property also offers private parking for four cars.

We had the most amazing time at this fantastic property. It was lovely and warm, very comfortable and really clean. Everything had been thought of. The kitchen was completely stocked with equipment and utensils for every occasion. The pool and spa facilities were wonderful and it was great to have designated time slots so we knew we had it to oursRead moreelves. The owners, their family and Poppy the dog all made us feel really welcome. We will definitely be back! Hide

Pool and leisure complex one of the best we have seen, new, modern, bright and well appointed. Cottage in a nice quiet location, close to many attractions and days out.
