We loved our stay at Timber Barn. Waking up to no other sounds but birdsong and lams, was amazing. Walking in the hills was beautiful and we loved the towns of Ludlow and Shrewsbury. We had a great lunch in The Lion at Leintwardine and a fine dining experience in The Old Downton Lodge, which was exquisite and a special treat for my partner's birthdRead moreay. A little further afield we visited the lovely garden of Brobury and also the Weir garden, which were only 10 minutes drive apart. Both different and equally nice ( they are also on the Gardener's World 2 for 1 offer). We enjoyed coming home to our barn and terras at the end of the day. No need to bring washing- and dishwasher capsules, there are plenty, as well as kitchen foil, clingfilm, tea bags and sugar. We were also left bread, milk and butter amongst other things. Rachel, the owner, was very responsive when we had a small problem, which was fixed really quickly. A truly fantastic place to stay! Hide

A beautifully converted small barn giving a feeling of 'no expense spared'. The perfect place to relax in quiet comfort and luxury. We were pleasantly surprised at the standard of furnishings and equipment. A couple of useful additions: a chair in the bathroom, and a mirror in the bedroom.
