Coast and country come together in this blissful Welsh region of Pembrokshire. This hotspot is arguably one of the least spoiled holiday regions, with untouched hidden coves and vast woodlands and trails for as far as the eye can see. Sitting at the mouth of the estuary is the golden beach of Poppit Sands (6 miles). Spend family-friendly days here, whether catching rays on the beach or trying your hand at popular watersports. This is also the gateway to the 186-mile-long Pembrokeshire Coast Path, which weaves along the cliffs through breath-taking vistas and overlooks stunning beaches. When you want a laidback afternoon, the Teifi Valley has some lovely fishing towns and villages to explore, such as Cardigan, New Quay and Aberporth, all of which can be found within 20 miles of the property. Pick up local groceries, like Welsh cakes or Bara Brith, sample freshly caught seafood suppers or pop into the pub for a pint.

From the car park, walk up the flight of steps and admire the exterior of this charming bungalow. Enter inside, where you’re greeted with a hallway leading to the kitchen/diner. Muted tones and stylish Shaker-style cabinets await, as well as ample storage and appliances. The adjacent table seats all six guests and is ideal for leisurely breakfasts or celebratory dinners. Just off the kitchen is the lounge, a cosy space with a central wood burner, exposed brick feature wall, and deep cushioned furniture. In the foyer corridor you may use the office desk and chair to be able to catch up on any project work. Enjoy many nights in catching up on boxsets with the fire crackling in the background. When it’s time to run through damp waterproofs or wash towels, then the utility room with a washing machine and dryer comes in extremely handy. Three delightful bedrooms await tired heads. One, king-size, one double and one twin room are well-appointed, with the king-size boasting an en-suite bathroom with WC, and the double has an en-suite shower room. Finishing the property is a separate WC.

Outside, the decking beckons guests to unwind with a tipple each evening of their stay while children can run amok on the enclosed lawn. The bistro seating is particularly great for dining alfresco. The car park has two designated spaces for guests.

We arrived as a family of 5 adults, 1 toddler and 2 whippets. The standard and layout of the accommodation was perfect: we wouldn't have changed anything! It was 6/7 hour trip each way, but sitting on the decking, watching the dogs and grandson enjoying the secure garden, was heartwarming. The local pub (The Ferry Inn) was very dog and family frienRead moredly, the local Tuesday market was great, but my highlight was the Bay To Remember boat trip, it was amazing, we saw lots for dolphins! We had a perfect holiday. Two weeks of beach walks, sunshine and a superb cottage to relax in. The views are amazing, with beautiful clear skies. We were so happy, our dogs didn't want to leave either! Definitely on our return list. Very highly recommended.

Wonderful cottage, spotlessly clean everywhere, well equipped, comfortable, light, private and quiet. Decking and garden completely enclosed. Ideal for touring although just as nice staying local, called into the White Hart community pub and enjoyed sitting watching the estuary at high tide in the evening. Hidden gem, the Penrallt Garden Centre, CaRead morerdigan. Good food The Cambrian Inn Solva. Hide
