Period property full of original features perfect for friends and a small family to enjoy this spacious property with all your creature comforts within Snowdonia National Park. Treat yourself to seasonal farm produce and grass-fed beef when available. Start your journey to the farm by making your way up the 1-mile gravel track through the beautiful RSPB area and a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) oak woodland. The property is only accessed via a 4x4 due to steep and rugged road to the property. The local pub is a mile, head to the market town of Dolgellau (3 miles) with independent shops, pubs, cafes, golf course and events throughout the year, the sandy beach at Fairbourne (5 miles) or the seaside resort at Barmouth (7 miles) with it’s harbour, eateries, shops, events and sandy beach. Maybe take the water taxi from Fairbourne to Barmouth or join the Mawddach Trail to walk or cycle along the estuary.

Walk up the grass path, though the arch and into this gorgeous stone cottage with exposed beams, flagstone floors, feature inglenook fireplace and all the thoughtful extras throughout. Step into the spacious kitchen dining room with all the equipment you need to rustle up a meal, maybe with local produce purchased from the farm with seasonal produce or on your travels. When ready the dining table is the perfect setting by the window for everyone to gather round and plan your holiday activities. For coffee lovers, a personal Smeg barista coffee machine awaits, ensuring a perfect brew every time. After dinner relax in the lounge after a full day exploring on the comfortable sofas, watch a film on the Smart TV and light the log burner for cosy nights in. When ready for bed head upstairs and choose from two lovely bedrooms both with a double-size bed. After a good nights sleep pop down stairs to the superb shower with underfloor heating for a leisurely start to the day.

Outside enjoy alfresco dining in the paved garden surrounded by established borders, explore the acres of farmland, woodlands, pretty gardens, river and superb views of the valley and mountain ranges. Make the most of this location taking in all the majestic scenery, Dexter cows, chickens, birds and other wildlife. In the evening walk up to the hilltop and enjoy the dark skies. Parking for two cars 200 metres from the cottage, plenty of space for bikes and paddle boards in the garden. Due to location of this property we advise 4x4 vehicles be used to access.

Spectacular location- beautiful garden and birdlife. Beautiful cottage with a real sense of history but with all the modern cons. We had a wonderful stay. The cottage is so tranquil and lovely to come return back to, after a day of exploring the area.The owners were also so helpful. Its a special, wonderful place that wed love to return to.
