Nestled along the stunning Yorkshire coast, Port Mulgrave offers visitors a quaint seaside retreat with a rich history and breathtaking scenery. The property is 450 metres from the small village’s harbour and beach, with its many rock pools. For history enthusiasts, visit nearby Mulgrave Castle, or explore the area's maritime past at the remains of the old jetty. Enjoy walks along the gorgeous beach at Saltburn (9 miles) which will lead you to Maske and Redcar. The Cleveland Way coastal path beckons outdoor adventurers with its spectacular views and scenic walks. Explore the pretty coastal villages of Runswick Bay and Staithes, or head inland to strike out through the North York Moors National Park (4 miles), with its myriad of footpaths. Visit the picturesque moorland village of Goathland (16 miles), and take a ride on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, taking in stunning view of the surrounding countryside.

Arrive at your charming 150-year-old sanctuary, setting the stage for a blissful retreat. Stepping into this four-bedroom haven, tailored for families or groups, the options are as flexible as they are inviting. The ground floor warmly welcomes your furry friends with its stone-tiled, under-heated floor, perfect for shedding walking gear in the spacious porch before entering the inviting open-plan kitchen/diner. Equipped with a magnificent range cooker, an American fridge freezer dispensing ice at your convenience, and ample seating around the table, it invites culinary adventures and shared meals. Gather together on the comfy reclining leather sofa for a family movie or board game, and light the wood-burning stove on chilly nights. Upstairs, indulge in choosing your morning view – whether its from the serene master king-size bedroom with its en-suite shower, a cosy double room, or the twin bedroom offering sweeping vistas of the North York Moors. Opt for the second twin room for stunning sea views, easily convertible into super-king-size bed if required. No need too wait long for the family bathroom with a lovely bath to soak in, surrounded by bubbles and spa-jet shower cubicle, as there's always the downstairs shower room as a backup. For added convenience, shared laundry facilities are available in the adjacent Coach House.

Outside, the expansive south-facing walled garden beckons for relaxed evenings, whether savouring a drink or taking a dip in the hot tub to relax your body after a long day exploring. The cottage was exceptionally clean, well prepared and equipped and very comfortable. 6 adults had plenty of room to do things individually or jointly The garden was very large and allowed our dog plenty of room to play The hot tub and garden furniture were well used and a welcome bonus to relaxing in the evening after our explorations.

A week at this beautiful cottage was just the tonic we needed. From stone floors to wood burner to hot tub, all perfect. Beds comfortable with a view. Lots of local areas to visit with places to eat The huge garden was a real treat for three English Setters to run around and play in.

Rosedale is a lovely well appointed and situated cottage. The room configurations give flexibility for a group of friends and/or family, including dogs. There were plenty of towels, pots, pans, crockery, big fridge with ice maker, cupboard basics, fire starter pack and the big hot tub. The garden had a solid wall all around so secure for most dogs.Read more We stayed during a very cold snap in January but the cottage was nice and warm, with extra blankets too. Thanks too for the welcoming treats including the dogs Christmas cracker. Hide
