The Cartlodge is a lovely holiday cottage, Hugo (dog) & I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay! The cottage itself is very comfortable, complete with a secure driveway/garden (perfect for Hugo), the kitchen is well equipped & the air source heat pump heating works very well. Comfy bed too! It's a very relaxing place to stay - Ringstead itself is Read morea lovely wee place, the General Store (& Cafe) is a wonderful aladdin's cave - I managed to buy bread, fresh croissants & an art print in 1 visit! The cafe is lovely (as were the friendly locals) & dog friendly. Outwith Ringstead, there's lots of places to visit - Hunstanton is only about 3 miles away (with a beach), the beaches at Holme and Brancaster are amazing as well. Wells next the Sea, Sheringham & Cromer aren't too far away either. Sandringham is just down the road as well. In short, I'd happily visit again! Hide

We had a great stay at the Cartlodge, it is a very nice and well done out and presented property that is in a great location for the beaches. Kitchen is spacious and well equipped, good fridge freezer. One thing I really liked was that there is plenty of cupboard space for our own stuff which is often not the case at other properties. We also haRead mored our parents down for one day and was able to get four round the table using the garden chairs. Upstairs, the lounge is spacious and comfortable, we was able to log into Netflix and Prime to keep up with our viewerages whilst away. The bathroom is well done out and the shower was great, plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Only issue we had was the bed size as we are used to a superking from home so going down two sizes was a bit much for us, but to be fair it is as advertised though just to warn it is a squeaky bed to boost. For me the room is big easily big enough to take a King. Other than that the bedroom itself is lovely, decent storage and nice views out and velux windows to keep the room cool. The location is excellent, easy 9 minute walk to the Gin Trap which is a lovely pub and easy drive out to Hunstanton, Holme and Brancaster for the beaches. Had some great early morning walks at Holme as parking free up to 09:30 am and a nice bakery to the side of White Horse pub in Home Village where we had nice cookies and coffee. Also we were blessed with excellent weather for most of the holiday so all in all we had a fab time once we got used to the bed :-D Hide

Fabulous location for the North Norfolk coastline, very quiet and situated in a pretty village with a good pub within walking distance. Be careful of the blind bend on leaving the drive way by car or on foot.
