If you’re looking for a quiet escape from a busy life, surrounded by countryside but just a short drive to the popular Georgian town of Holt, then the hunt is over. A stay at this beautifully converted cattle shed, The Turnip House, offers high quality interiors with style and comfort in abundance. The open plan kitchen, dining, living area with double height ceiling and exposed beams is the ideal place for entertaining. The chef of the group can whip up a delicious meal using local seasonal produce while family or friends relax close by. A mezzanine floor with comfortable seating and an additional TV is perfect for children to have the freedom of their own space or for adults to escape with a book and truly unwind. Outside there's a private courtyard off the master bedroom, just the spot for sunny breakfasts or pre-dinner drinks. Within the village is the local garden centre with an excellent fresh fruit and veg store and the award-winning pub, The Pigs, offering a seasonal menu of traditional British pub food and spa treatments. Shop: 2.5 miles Pub: 0.5 miles

The property can be booked, if availability permits, in conjunction with neighbouring property Plane Tree Barn (Property Ref: 1944) in order to accommodate larger groups/families.

Turnip cottage is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the Norfolk countryside. It definitely is worth a visit. The view of the horses each morning was a bonus. I would happily live there!

We enjoyed our stay at The Turnip House. It was very comfortable, well equipped and in a quiet and peaceful setting. The layout suited us fine travelling as a couple but guests with children should be made aware that the bedrooms are at opposite ends of the cottage and that there is a short flight of stairs to the main bedroom. One of the best holiday accommodation we have ever stayed in. Spacious and comfortable, excellent parking in a peaceful setting. Great location for coast and local National Trust properties. We will definitely return.

The property is lovely, situated down a country lane next to a farm. It is modern and very well equipped. We had horses and chickens in the field next to us which added to the rural feeling. The village is small but worth exploring and for shopping, Holt isn't far away.

We took our daughter 4 month old grand daughter to stay for a week in the Turnip House. We were very happy and comfortable. We enjoyed the modernity, the spaciousness, the central heating, the lots of parking, the country location with facilities close by in Holt etc. Minimal phone signal but decent wi-fi. We would stay there again.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Turnip House. The property is beautifuly decorated and furnished and met with our every expectation. It is within easy reach of lots of lovely places to visit and lots of lovely places to eat. I would without hesitation reccommend as a perfect place to stay.

Nicely secluded in open countryside it is a very comfortable cottage- part of a three cottage conversion on a farm. We had a nice relaxing holiday.
