Don’t forget to visit the North Norfolk Railway whilst in Holt to re-discover the romance of steam engines that run along a glorious stretch of the coast.  This part of Norfolk is a draw all year round for its coastal landscape, much of which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty; it is an attraction for everyone and just a short drive away.  There are farm shops, glorious beaches, stately homes, good pubs and so much more to discover, that one visit to the locality will not be enough.

A lovely place to stay, very spacious and well furnished. We did feel it could have had a more thorough clean before we arrived though.

The location of this property is excellent - close enough to both the beach and the Norfolk Broads plus other attractions, which was our reason for choosing it. Unfortunately on arrival, the property had not been cleaned to an acceptable standard. Someone showed up on behalf of the owner within about 30 minutes of our arrival listing everything we Read moremight find a problem with; he also brought cleaning spray. The excuse that the cleaners turned up after 2pm so only had time to do the basics before our 4pm arrival isn't valid, or our problem. After several phone calls, the cleaners did return the following day, but had to work around us, and our stuff. The property needs a deep clean, which the cleaners said they have told the owners several times - behind the TV stand, the shelves is a thick layer of dust. Various items just need replacing or maintenance - such as the kettle, fridge and oven. The property is spacious and has a nice outdoor space but it isn't somewhere I would want to return to unfortunately. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your review. Well investigate this right away to make sure everythings in place for the next guest Hide

Lovely comfortable and spacious property in a nice quiet setting. If you are after privacy outside then this property may not be suitable. The outside space is only at the front and is directly opposite the entrance to the neighbouring holiday cottage.
