This well-equipped and smartly decorated property is based in the very heart of Mid Devon, making it the perfect base for exploring the whole county. Guests can venture to the south or north Devon coastline, choose from long walks on Exmoor, or discover the towering tors of Dartmoor. Enjoy the best of both worlds and head into the city of Exeter, which is less that 20 miles away and offers a huge range of attractions, restaurants and shops.

This pleasant property has been designed as an upside-down house to make the most of the views from the upstairs windows. As you enter the property, you’ll find the double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC, and two separate twin rooms on the ground floor. There is also a family bathroom with shower over bath and WC and utility room with washing machine. The stairs will take you up into the bight and spacious living area, which provides plenty of room for a family to spread out and relax. The room includes several sofas, a Smart TV and an electric fire. Around the corner the open-plan kitchen/diner is equipped to seat six people around the table and there is a oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. The balcony from the first floor gives guests the chance to enjoy the beautiful views from the property but that’s not the only outdoor space to enjoy!

Stepping outside, guests have their own patio, which has a BBQ/fire pit and outdoor furniture. There is also access to an expanse of shared lawns, with plenty of room for all the family to enjoy. Guests also have access to a whole range of leisure facilities to keep the family busy, including free use of the shared heated indoor swimming pool (subject to availability). The onsite sports hall offers badminton, tennis, netball and football (charges apply). Other shared onsite facilities include snooker tables, a skittle alley, squash courts and a five-a-side all-weather pitch. Children can enjoy playing in the large outdoor adventure playground with zip slides, or in the indoor soft play area with ball ponds, climbing areas, slides and its own coffee shop. Carp fishing is also available nearby.

House very nice and comfortable; nice touches of milk in fridge and home made biscuits upon arrival. Breakfast in pub good value.

Very enjoyable stay. Fantastic views from our cottage which was exceptionally clean and well maintained. All facilities were brilliant and in a big family group catered for a wide range of ages. We ate in the restaurant and had breakfast in the bar. Very good value for money and the relaxed but efficient atmosphere is really very welcoming.

Very nice and well appointed. Would have preferred a separate shower in the ensuite, but that is merely a personal preference. Perhaps have roller blinds in all three bedrooms not just the one at the front

The cottages are just fantastic . Very clean, comfortable and everything you could possibly need. From towels , kitchen utensils, cups glasses, plates , cutlery, microwave, fridge freezer and cooker. Set in a beautiful location. Easy drive to where you want to go. Lovely grounds round the hotel, big play area for children and the animals are a greaRead moret . Grandchildren really enjoyed the facilities swimming pool was very good and soft play was excellent The accommodation was very clean and well equipped Food in the restaurant and soft play area was very nice and good value for money WiFi was a bit intermittent although we were told it was being updated so it should be better

The facilities available are marvelous especially for families with wide age gaps. Even with very wet weather everyone had plenty of sports to do indoors. Very nice for wider family gatherings eating at the skittle allies. Pub and soft play cafe food was very well cooked and priced. Lovely peaceful location. Very enjoyable week.

Amazing cottage you couldn't wish for more ironing board and iron provided that was an amazing plus for us including a washing machine. Just an amazing place. We will be going back hopefully for 2 weeks next year.
