Description

Nestled on an awarding winning, working dairy farm, producing milk for the making of Cornish Yarg cheese, this delightful property is approached via a farm lane; the owner's residence is next door, yet the property remains completely private. The village of Ponsanooth is 0.5 miles away with a shop, pub serving good food, a play park for children and the picturesque woodlands of Kennall Vale are also located within the village. Nearby Falmouth offers a charming mix of shops, art galleries, cafés and restaurants serving locally caught seafood. Enjoy a meander around Falmouth Harbour, the third largest natural harbour in the world, or take a leisurely 20-minute stroll up to the historic Pendennis Castle and enjoy a Cornish ice-cream overlooking the panoramic views of Falmouth Bay and over to the fishing village of St Mawes. This special area also has a unique eco-climate where sub-tropical flowers and plants thrive, so take a ferry up to Trelissick Gardens or a picnic to Trebah Gardens.

Upon entering, you'll step into a warm and inviting open plan kitchen/lounge/diner which really is the heart of this home, providing a perfect space for socialising, cooking, and enjoying meals together, this area also leads directly onto the patio. The kitchen area is equipped with everything you'll need for your holiday whether it's a picnic for a day’s adventure or a home-cooked meal after a day on a nearby beach. Retire to the lounge area and snuggle up on the comfy corner sofa to watch a film on the Smart TV. Head through the inner hallway to the two bedrooms which are tastefully decorated, each with comfortable furnishings. Both rooms offer a tranquil atmosphere, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring the scenic countryside. The king-size bedroom also has a Smart TV for lazy mornings and an en-suite shower room. There's also a contemporary family bathroom.

Heading outside from the lounge area is the private and enclosed garden where you can completely relax and unwind. The garden is not only a perfect spot for enjoying a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine but also a safe and secure space for your furry friend and children to roam free. Light the BBQ on a summer evening and dine al fresco under the star lit sky. The surrounding landscape is dotted with rolling hills and depending on the season, perhaps even some grazing cattle over the garden fence!

Reviews

This is a wonderful rental. Much bigger than it looks on the pictures. The garden is also great and again much bigger than on the pictures. We stay in lots of holiday rentals and would definetly recommend this to anyone wanting to see the far end of Cornwall. Spotlessly clean and the owners very friendly and left us milk and cookies.

Mr B,

A really lovely cottage with beautiful views and a secure garden. Owner is the perfect host and was very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for walking the SW Coast Path. We really enjoyed the Kern cheese and milk from the dairy in the village made from the milk from the dairy herd on the farm. A perfect holiday spot for families and couples alike. We will recommend it to our family and friends. Thank you.

Mrs B,

This is a lovely cottage in a rural location on a working farm with Ayrshire cows. It is close to beaches, towns and shops so an ideal spot for families and couples alike. There were just the three of us so it was perfect for our needs, and would also suit a couple with two children. The cottage is tucked away and therefore peaceful. Be prepared for narrow Cornish lanes!

Mrs W,

Lovely rural position with a good sized garden with country views but even though enclosed is by no means secure for dogs. Cottage was fantastic with nice open plan living area with good amenities and good sized bedrooms and great bathrooms with powerful showers.

Mrs C,

We had a wonderful weekend at Foxglove Cottage. The cottage was clean and beautifully presented, with plenty of room for our young family. The added bonus of the large garden was great! It was such a quiet relaxing property, we will definitely be back!! Highly recommend and the owners were extremely helpful. A lovely holiday cottage.
