Cemaes holiday homes

Perched on the rugged north coast of Anglesey, our Cemaes cottages sit within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The most northerly village in Wales, this pretty fishing village presides over Cemaes Bay, a large, horseshoe-shaped cove sheltering a natural harbour and two sandy beaches that are fringed by rock pools. With local amenities including village shops and two excellent pubs, it makes a great destination for a family-friendly holiday or a romantic getaway. This wild and unspoilt stretch of coast, partly cared for by the National Trust, is a haven for walkers and nature lovers with superb coastal trails and the possibility to see seabirds, grey seals, dolphins and even porpoises. Whether you’re seeking adventure or relaxation, our holiday cottages in Cemaes Bay provide a superb base from which to explore the Isle of Anglesey.

A visit to the Cemaes Heritage Centre offers a fascinating insight into the history and heritage of this peaceful harbour village, once one of the busiest ports in medieval Wales. Eglwys Llanbadrig (St. Patrick's Church), the oldest Christian site in Wales, marks the spot where St Patrick came ashore after being shipwrecked, and boasts stunning coastal views. Further along the coast, the Dinas Gynfor hill fort offers a glimpse at prehistoric times, while the Copper Kingdom Centre traces the history of copper mining in the region. Alternatively, get your fix of fabulous beaches from the local beaches of Traeth Mawr and Traeth Bach to golden beaches strung along the coast. If you’re planning a holiday in Anglesey, check out our selection of Cemaes cottages above.
