Camber Sands cottages

With more sunshine than any other place in the UK, Sussex is bound to attract the beach aficionado in summer and, unsurprisingly Camber Sands on the Kent border is their go-to beach of choice. An amalgamation of dunes and white sands, Camber’s seven mile stretch offers anyone and everyone plenty of space to enjoy the salty air.

Being only a two hour journey from London the appeal of Camber is clear, fresh air and open skies away from the hustle and bustle of city life is a draw for weekend and week long breaks all year round. This once former training ground for soldiers during the Second World War is now a huge hit for kite-surfing, kite-flying and kite land-boarding; it’s favourable winds obviously being the attracting feature. With so much space to choose from these activities have been designated to their own end of beach, leaving plenty of room for the walkers, runners, bathers and chief sand castle makers to enjoy their own area of sands.

If you prefer just the day trip, or perhaps the morning stroll along the beach, then basing yourself in nearby Rye gives you a perfect mix of a gentle urban stay with a dash of the bucket and spade experience and our cottages cover all over the surrounding coastal area.
