Holiday Cottages in Kelso

Kelso is one of the most picturesque towns in the Scottish Borders’ region, with the River Tweed flowing right through the centre. We have a selection of holiday cottages in Kelso, including traditional stone cottages that have been lovingly restored for a cosy and comfortable stay.

We also offer both dog-friendly and luxury holiday cottages in the area, some of which boast panoramic views of the beautiful, sweeping Scottish landscape outside. With other Borders’ tows such as Jedburgh and Melrose close by, and Edinburgh, Newcastle and Carlisle all within driving distance, there really is no better location from which to explore Scotland and Northern England.

Kelso town centre is home to a plethora of outstanding independent shops that line its stone and cobbled streets. Perfect for a retail retreat, many love to come and visit Kelso for a shopping spree with a healthy dose of cafe treats and eating out thrown in.

On an even grander scale is Floors Castle, home to the 11th Duke of Roxburghe. The gardens and grounds are open to the public and form one of Kelso’s top attractions. Bring your bikes and cycle at your leisure round the grounds; bring your four-legged friend to explore; or simply sit back on a bench with a flask of tea and watch the world go by. However you choose to spend your day at Floors Castle, we are certain you’ll have a wonderful time.

As a town surrounded by countryside, there are a multitude of walks in and around Kelso to delight holidaymakers. The route from Kelso to Roxburgh is a particular highlight, totaling 6 miles on the circular trail. On your way you will encounter the Borders Abbeys Way and Roxburgh Viaduct. Within the town itself, a leisurely walk around Shedden Park is always lovely and is suitable for all ages, with a children’s play area located in the centre.

There’s always something going on in Kelso too, and a holiday here will certainly prove that there is never a dull moment in this delightful Borders’ town.
