Holiday letting means something different to everyone. For some, it is a renovation passion project, or a job in and of itself. If you’re one of these people, Original Cottages will one hundred percent support you in wanting to manage as much of the property as you like, from interior design all the way up to handling changeovers and cleaning, and we’ll still be there to manage your accounts and support you however you need.  

However, if you’d prefer to let with us in a more hands-free way, say perhaps you live abroad, or you have several properties to manage, we can take the reins. This is where our wonderful teams in Property Services come in! We are proud to offer what we feel is the best fully comprehensive property services package in the country.  

There are some regional variations when it comes to pricing and services, but most of our regional teams will be able to offer you a package that is similar, or the same, to the style outlined below. Even in the regions where we cannot offer specific services, our homeowner teams will still work tirelessly to help you find the best local services to manage your home.  

Our Property Service packages include everything from bed linen and cleaning, to gardening, maintenance and safety checks. Homeowners can choose from a fully managed service, where we take care of everything, or an itemised price list.  

Services Our Teams Can Offer 

Changeover & Cleaning

We can look after the arrangement of the services you will need for your guests to have a great stay, including:

  • Managing the housekeeping of your property
  • Providing fresh linen for each booking (hire or purchase options available)
  • Providing Welcome Packs, containing local produce, for your guests to enjoy 
  • Making sure there is a good supply of essential items for guests upon arrival.
 
Customer Contact

Let us be the local point of contact should guests need assistance whilst they are on holiday. Our guest support team will be on hand to deal with emergencies and make sure that appropriate action is taken - really helping to take the stress out of letting your property.

Our on-call service operates beyond our usual opening hours, so you can rest assured that your guests and property are in safe hands.

 
Compliance Management

Adhering to legislative health and safety requirements can be daunting and time consuming. Our compliance package is a cost effective way of instructing us to arrange the services you need on an ongoing basis.

Portable Appliance (PAT) Testing
Electrical Installation Condition Reporting (EICR)
Chimney Sweeping
Legionella Risk Assessment
Fire Safety Risk Assessment (FSRA)

Regular Maintenance

A schedule of proactive, planned maintenance is the best way to ensure that your holiday let runs smoothly.

As part of our fully managed service, two detailed property checks are carried out each year in order to assess the general condition of your property and identify any improvements that might be required. In addition, our team can arrange other regular services you might need such as:

Window cleaning
Gardening
Private waste collection
Deep cleaning

Our team has the skills, experience and local relationships needed to take the stresses out of holiday letting and property management, and can help with the arrangement of additional services you may need.

From arranging for replacement items to be ordered and delivered, to planning painting and decorating work to get your property ready for next year's season. We're local, and here for you.

Flexible options, to suit all situations

Full management package

A cost effective, year round package that includes the arrangement of all the core services, listed above, that are required to let your property.

Selected services only

If you don’t need the full package, our itemised service has the flexibility to include only the services you do need.

Alternatively, you don’t have to opt for any of our services (even though they are great). As long as your property is safe and legal, we’re happy for you to take full control if you please, because at Original Cottages, we believe that happy homeowner equals happy holidaymakers.
