Insurance Basics

As the owner of a holiday home you have a legal duty of care to all guests, so it is absolutely vital you are fully insured.

Regular home or landlord insurance policies may not cover short-term letting, paying guests, public liability insurance or any other specific aspects of letting that may be applicable to your property, so be sure to check the wording and seek professional advice.

It is useful to bear in mind that any individual features of your property, such as hot tubs and swimming pools, may need to be specifically listed on a contents insurance plan, or insured separately.

How we can help

At Original Cottages, we have a partnership with Boshers Insurance, a leading holiday home insurer, who will provide some of the best rates.
